Again I'm playing the GBA version on an emulator. This is supposed to be the best one, as far as I hear, so that means after I finish it, it's all downhill from here... :kaga

- Neat intro. Also, I've heard this song before.
- If she won't even breathe unless they tell her to, and they're not telling her to, how is she still alive?
- I can't go in the Inn? I guess my robot suit won't fit in the door.
- These battles are easy... probably intentionally
- I really can't maneuver here much at all...
- So the magitek abilities have 0 cost to use? That's convenient
- This variety of abilities seems kind of pointless as all I'm doing is spamming fire beam and winning
- First boss wasn't hard, despite the gimmick. Also I've heard this boss battle theme before and it's great.
- We have to fight the frozen thing now?
- No, seems it's more like a cutscene
- Now my robot suit and party members are gone...
- Took a bit to figure out how to multi-target magic spells in this game... weird that the controls aren't the same as in FFV
- If she previously killed 50 soldiers by herself, why are 4 of them suddenly a problem?
- So we're introduced to the main villain Kefka already. Yeah, kind of a hard spoiler to avoid all of these years. Although he did a laughing animation but I didn't hear the famous laugh sound...
- That minigame with the Moogles was kind of annoying... but not difficult.
- I guess this guy is the next boss. He wasn't hard either.
- Oh, there's the laugh sound effect.
- So when will we get to use all of our party members at once?
- You could have moved the castle underground before he attacked...
- Funny how the enemies are letting us stop and have a conversation in the middle of the battle
- Another easy boss battle
- Okay, this new Chocobo view is disorienting. Why can't it just be top down like all of the previous games?
- So I named this guy but I guess he doesn't join my party until later
- That was a weird boss battle. At least we get a new party member.
- I remember in FFIV I could only shoot arrows at one target at a time and I could run out of them... not so here
- What, so the story of Pandora's Box happened in this universe?
- Lethe River? Normally I'd pay that no mind, but they did just reference Pandora's Box, so if we all end up losing our memories now, then I saw it coming
- Oh man, escort missions are always so awful.
- I don't get why magic is supposed to be so rare and OP when Sabin can do a freaking Kamehameha...
- I've fought this guy before in other games, but I know this is the game where he first came from. He went down easily.
- Now I have to choose which party to play as. I think this is a good a time as any to stop for now.

- I guess that I'll pick up from where I left off, with Terra and the others
- Okay, how do I get into the village?
- Okay, figured it out.
- Oh great, another annoying puzzle section.
- Made it past after a few tries.
- Okay, finished that scenario. Sabin next.
- The ninja guy finally joined my party.
- It looks like the soldiers are just jumping at the castle head first, lol.
- Another new character? Let's see how good he is.
- Now I'm killing dogs. PETA must hate me.
- I remember hearing about Kefka poisoning the castle before.
- We have to fight him already, with only two party members?
- Oh, he just ran away after one attack. That's convenient. I have a feeling that we wouldn't stand a chance if he actually stayed and fought.
- Wait, they have satellites but they communicate important military orders via carrier pigeon? WTF
- That must be some poison if a handful dropped in the banks of a river instantly poisons the entire river and kills everyone in the castle...
- How come the robot suits are so much more powerful when we use them? Not that I'm complaining.
- Oh come on, why can't we take the suits with us?
- Now a random ghost joins my party
- The enemies that spam gravity are really annoying
- This guy had the boss music but he was weaker than the normal enemies...
- This next guy had the normal battle music but was much more like a boss. Still easy to beat.
- I've fought this guy before... but never with the signature move you're supposed to do... so I know what to do
- Yep, that worked just like they said it would.
- So does this train carry every dead person in the world to the afterlife? You would think it would be bigger, then.
- I've heard about this part too, we have to jump to continue.
- I think that was a boss battle, but again, it had the normal battle music.
- And another new character that we can't actually use yet.
- Interesting how when I'm buying equipment it shows the party members that I don't have with me
- Well that was a tedious and annoying sidequest
- Okay, I recruited the weird kid. Seems like he has some ability similar to the blue magic from the last game.
- That's enough collecting techniques for now. I'll continue with the plot later.

- How are all 3 of them using just 1 helmet at once?
- Okay, time for the third scenario it seems.
- I beat that armor but I didn't know I was supposed to fight it...
- So is this stuff actually supposed to be 'cider' or alcohol and they just censored it for the translation?
- Another new party member. Is this the one with blue magic that was mentioned in the comments?
- How come Locke is not freaking out that she can use magic like they did when Terra used it?
- The find hidden passages ability from the last game would really come in handy right about now
- What's that turtle doing in the recovery spring?
- Well that boss was pretty easy, I didn't even need the runic command
- That's all 3 scenarios completed, so let's see what happens next.
- Not another one of these puzzle battles. The interface for forming the teams was also annoying to figure out at first.
- Kefka went down easily...
- Terra can fly now?
- Uh, she really didn't look anything like that frozen bird/lizard thing...
- This guy doesn't believe in magic despite the fact that their town was recently attacked twice by magic robots?
- This other guy is just letting us take all the stuff from his house? I mean, normally we do that anyway in games like this, but it's weird that he's offering.
- That was an interesting cutscene. At least Sabin is back in my party now.
- I have to admit, an underground tunnelling castle is something that I don't believe I've ever seen before
- Oh, I've heard this song before. On an old website.
- Why do we keep finding elixirs in clocks? I'm not complaining, but it seems like a weird place to put them
- I don't trust this old guy with the corpse...
- I've heard this music at the opera house before too
- Oh great, enemies that steal your money. At least you get it back if you beat them.
- Quite an easy boss yet again.
- For some reason Terra's form here reminds me of Meteoric Burst Boros from One Punch Man
- Is this flashback suggesting the espers created their own dimension? I wonder about the size of it...
- Now I've finally got magic on other characters... but I'm not quite sure how this magic system works yet
- So our next party member is a kidnapper and implied rapist. Wow.
- Dammit, I hate timed missions like this.
- For a boss battle, that was sure easy.
- At least we finally got an airship. Seems like we can't pilot it wherever we want yet, though.

- More music that I've heard before. I guess this game really is popular on the internet.
- Are these onion knights a reference to FFIII?
- Why is the golden equipment better than the mythril equipment?
- Beat Ifrit and Shiva and got their summons (well I didn't actually have to fight Shiva for some reason)
- That next boss was incredibly easy
- How did two guys in mechs beat us so easily in a cutscene when we've been taking them down easily up until now?
- Another quite easy boss
- The most annoying thing about these bosses is that I'm killing them so fast I don't have a chance to steal stuff from them
- A new controllable character, but I can't access his stats or equipment or anything
- Is it just me, or does one of the sprites here look like a SSJ4 with blue hair? That, or SSJB Broly.
- I guess this answers my question about the size of the esper dimension, if this is the whole thing
- I wonder if the steps I take in this flashback count for the total steps taken meter
- Was that scene metaphorical, or did they just instantly make a baby from sparkles right after meeting each other?
- Short bursts, huh? Would they happen to be the meteoric type? :kaga
- At last we can finally control the airship. The controls for it are annoying though, compared to the much simpler ones in the previous games.
- I have to admit though, the airship is probably the coolest-looking one so far
- So I guess if the harvester steals my gil and I have Gau leap at it to end the battle, I don't get it back. That's annoying.
- I just grabbed a bunch of new techniques for Gau.
- Is this the same wolf from the last game?
- New party member, neat, but how does he know about our airship?
- I hear the moogle guy is supposed to be pretty good, but so far every time I've used the dance command I get a 'stumbled' message and nothing happens
- I only just now noticed that the little flaming sprites that Sabin fires with his Rising Phoenix attack are flaming versions of himself
- That ninja's sprite in the dungeon looks nothing like his sprite in battle
- I got the Ultima Weapon already? You usually only get that after the end of the game
- Another fake fight with Kefka that ends after one attack...
- Was that Bahamut just now? And Shiva? I thought she was dead
- I hope this doesn't mean my airship is busted permanently...
- I talked to 21 soldiers... I hope that's enough
- I'd definitely say execute him... but I know that's not going to happen
- Weird how buildings on fire are still selling stuff...

- Funny how we have an airship but we don't have a controllable boat yet
- Is it just me, or is there some romantic tension between Terra and Leo?
- A new party member, and his sprite looks like Kefka with a mustache
- And another one... that's pretty convenient
- I really hope there's no time limit in this burning building...
- Meteoric Burst ended that boss fight quickly.
- Using a smoke bomb in the middle of a burning building doesn't exactly seem like the best idea to me
- Magicite changes your DNA? Because they're saying that the magic abilities it gives you become hereditary
- Wait, I thought the espers created their dimension, so why are the gods that predate them sealed up in there?
- How come Ultros has the normal battle music this time?
- Well... that just happened.
- And once again we get our ass kicked by robot suits in a cutscene when we can easily beat them in the actual game
- Any reason the espers are not even attempting to fight back as Kefka kills them one by one?
- I'm controlling Leo now, but I can't change his equipment or anything.
- Another battle with Kefka, and it was easy
- Does Leo's shock attack count as magic? Does that mean he was given magic too like Celes?
- What is he fighting for? Ask Zero...
- And, of course, we get screwed in the cutscene...
- I thought Ifrit was already dead...
- So was Kefka just holding back against us this whole time, or did he suddenly get a lot more powerful than he used to be?
- At least we get our airship back
- It's nice to get some actual blue magic now, although Gau's ability seems to be more versatile so far. I like how we just have to see the ability for Strago to get it though, rather than have it used on us like in the last game.
- I finally beat the intangir thing the normal way, without using the cheap confuse/smoke bomb trick
- Going to the floating continent now. Didn't we already have one of these in the third game?
- Three bosses in a row, but I beat them all. Sad I couldn't use Meteoric Burst in the second battle for some reason, though.
- Why does the terrain here look like it's infected by Zerg creep from Starcraft?
- I'm completely lost here... can't find my way through this place
- Okay, found the way out, finally
- I've seen this boss before... he wasn't so tough here though.
- Wait, how did Gestahl and Kefka get past Ultima Weapon?
- Should have gone for the head, Celes...
- You'd figure the guy who eats, lives, and breathes betrayal would have expected being betrayed...
- I hate these timed missions
- For a supposed continent, this place isn't all that big
- Barely escaped with Shadow
- I knew in advance that the world was going to get screwed over now, but I didn't know that my airship was going to be destroyed!
- Okay, I saved Cid

I think this is a good place to stop for now.
