Yeah. I mean we're not equipped to be happy all the time. It's not like the movies where they're always happy. :< Reality bites sometimes, but that's life, I suppose. @___@

Ah, I see. That might explain quite a bit. I mean, I may love Die Hard 3 a lot because I saw that one on TV before I saw any of the others. But I suppose I can get that. The first one seems more like a tribute to horror movies while the second one seems to be more of its own story. But personally, I thought it was great since it worked well with the overall formula of the movie. Scream 3 was decent. Scream 4 is strange. I don't like how Jill is the killer. Killing her mother completely threw me off. I thought it was Trevor and Charlie. I also thought it might be the female cops. At least, I got one right. :I Why did they kill Olivia though? She was so pretty. ;< Basically, Scream 3 seemed to end the trilogy well while Scream 4 doesn't connect well with the first two.

Well, you can't be happy all the time. I think not feeling great is natural too. You gotta be sad sometimes. :B

Well, I think being alone now and then is good. While always being alone is probably worse, always being surrounded by people means you get no breathing room. I still believe that people need time to miss each other. :ippy I liked the first one the most tbph. 2 is pretty cool though. Been a while since I've seen 3 and I haven't seen 4 yet though. : O

Well, I suppose we all feel lost or lethargic sometimes. Think that's what we're going through atm? @__@

That's true. Besides, too much human interaction takes away from alone time. And people need alone time. Let's all give each other time to miss each other. You'll like each other more when you do see each other. :ippy Scream 1 and 2 were pretty awesome. I didn't really like that Billy's mother was one of the killers in the second one though. That was... kinda not clever at all.
    4. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
Well, I'm still trying to work stuff out. I suppose I am making some progress. What about you?

The thing I realize is... not interacting with people actually brings me a sense of peace. Frankenstein got this wrong, man. @___@

I see. Are you fluent in French and German or something? Or maybe they were harder cause you didn't learn them but you did English? :O I don't really mind subs sometimes. It is harder to get into though when you don't understand the literal words. I hear myself when I read the subs and not the characters. That's a bit of a problem... Not really, man. YOLO? Death is just around the corner, YOLOers. Remember that too. Ah, I see. Well, that's probably best. Have no preference besides what you like based on nothing but the music itself. It's not a bad idea. Besides, songs are short, so you can do that. You can't really do that for books/movies/TV shows though. I saw 3, but I think 2 is better. 1 is the weakest. IDK if I wanna watch 4 though. Yeah, most guys want action in action movies, not a love interest. Marie x Jason dominated the first movie too much and their interactions felt really awkward at times. Yeah, maybe in the past, it was harder to not have a shaky camera. I don't think I see it a lot in newer films at least. Ah, I see. I remember the Blair Witch Project was famous for shaky camera. It made sense for that film apparently. I think the Greek Olympics committee overreacted, but I do agree they can't afford bad publicity at that point of time. They were in a tough spot there. Hey, once you're dead, what does it matter what you look like? You're worm food. You're dust in the wind either way. It sounds very poetic to me. And majestic too like you say. I haven't seen either. Care to explain about what you mean? Yeah, most readers don't really visualize.I mean, if you visualize, it'll show down your reading. You're trying to do too much, I think. That doesn't mean I never do it, but I don't do it for everything. Hey, it's like erotic novels. Why do people read that? Don't they know erotic movies exist? :hurr Ah, I see. The Greek producers don't want to film that stuff, but the Greek broadcasters have no problem filming that stuff. IDK. Show me some? :maybe

Do you mind if I just add you on Skype? I don't go on a lot now, but feel free to IM me if you want to when I'm online.

That's alright. Stuff happens. Hmm, that's true. I don't think English is tough but I'm used to it. On the other hand, I can't pronounce a lot of stuff in Spanish. I mean, that rowing r sound still gets me. But yeah, learning a second language is hard when you're old, man. :-( It's probably cause English borrowed a lot of words from other languages. I guess they just keep the spellings and stuff. I know the Japanese used a lot of the Chinese alphabet and stuff. But I guess that's not the point. YOLO is annoying. Death is just around the corner, man. These people better realize it doesn't matter at all. :ippy What do you like then? I'm into classical these days. Fun stuff. Yeah, let's drop it before I get even more disappointed in you. ;33 The second one is so much better than the first one. Not to be mean, but Marie was the main problem with the first one. I don't want romance, I just want action, movie makers. :angry With Marie gone, it was pure action/stealth. That's what I wanted to see in the first movie. The only thing I didn't like about the second movie was the "shaky camera" work. That gives me headaches and it doesn't really add to the film at all. It's kinda like 24, which is great. Show me some pics of athletic women you find attractive. :yay I remember this Greek Olympian who was not bad looking who got kicked off the Olympic team cause she made a racist joke. Dude, YOLO, man. Why not use roids? You gotta die sometime. Might as well die with some muscles in you. ;D Ah, I see. Well, I wanted to do that way too. I figure might as well read them the way someone who followed the series when it first came out did. Besides, prequels can be fun too. Yeah, I figured your English was fine, but since you said these were your mother's, I wasn't sure. But I digress. It may just have been a small production. I don't even see a Wikipedia article on it. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. It was so many years ago and all. It was a VHS, I think. Yeah, I didn't really like reading Beowulf and stuff. Felt strange to read about all this action and not see it. I think the poet of Beowulf wasn't great at description. Homer was great at it though. I liked his story-telling. I really like it when they call the characters "son of X or Y." It sounds majestic when you hear son of Laertes or son of Peleus. I also liked it when they say stuff like the ghost of the great runner when it refers to Achilles or lord of men when it refers to Agamemnon. Cool stuff. But yeah, some books just tell too much. We don't need to imagine the whole thing. The thing is... most readers don't really visualize the book. They just remember what it's about. I know I'm that way. That's why you have TV/movies. They do it for you. ;> Ah, that's cool. US boardcast TV censors everything. Cable TV is fine though. HBO and Cinemax show lots of nudity, especially at night. Topless Greek women? Are they hot? : O
    15. Edward Cullen

Is Greek tough to pronounce? I mean, like if you knew how the Greek alphabet/language works, would it be simple enough? I had an English professor say that if English isn't your first language, IDK how you do it... The silent letters in English... :ippy I see YOLO everywhere. I hate seeing it all the time. :tomasulk Me? Rap used to be the genre of the music I listened to most in the past. I like it. Nas and Eminem are my two favorites. :> But newer rap seems... to be on a much lower quality than older stuff. Maybe I'm just being narrowminded though. Yeah, whatever you say... ;33 Yeah, I liked the Romeo and Juliet story in it. It's done well enough. The animation isn't bad but the music is much lower quality. I believe I liked 2 the most. I saw it many times when I was younger. 1 felt a bit uneventful compared to 2. Well, I hear it isn't too great. Speaking of action movies though, how are the Bourne movies? I saw the first one and it lacked... action. Second one looks more action packed though. Have you seen them? I love me some beach volleyball. I certainly know why I watch it. I have made it no secret that athletic women are attractive to me. :> Athletic women in tight revealing clothes? Yay. :yay Well, she seems... nice enough outside of the steel cage? She certainly won't be the victim of an abusive relationship, that's for sure. I see. Well, I suppose it's true. Still, too muscular is bad too... You look like you're hopped up on roids. @___@ It's seven alright. What order are you gonna read them? Published order or chronological order? Are they in English? :hmm I do remember knowing there was an old play on the Lion, Witch, Wardrobe one. IDK if it was good or not though. Maybe Frankenstein is one of those things better on screen. A lot of part 1 is just Victor telling us his thoughts. Maybe it's better for us to just see the important stuff while it cuts out some cumbersome details. While it's true that books are usually superior to their movies, I'm sure there are some exceptions. Maybe this is one of them. That's cable though, right? I remember when I was so naive when I was younger. I remembered American Pie was on broadcast TV and I watched it hoping to see Shannon Elizabeth topless. I was too young to realize they would simply edit that stuff out. :-(

Well, maybe I'm writing it poorly, but I never learned the IPA way of doing pronunciations. I just try to use the closest sound I can relate to it. It's probably linguistics major stuff. I hate YOLO cause carpe diem serves the same purpose. I hated it more when I learned some dumb rapper invented it. It was... not cool to learn that one fact. Well, it isn't perfect and anything can be improved, so why shouldn't it? I am disappointed in you. :ippy Yeah, I'm desensitized to violence for the most part, but it was so dark compared to Indy 1. I was like... this is horror movie material, not Indiana Jones... @___@ Was it edited since it was on TV? I've seen a few of them. I liked Lion King 2. That may have been the best of the bunch. They're not terrible abominations, but they certainly aren't classics. Hmm, that's a good one. Toy Story is one of the greater trilogies. :yay Uh, stuff like Rocky Balboa, Indy 4, Live Free or Die Hard, etc. Those weren't bad. I would say all 3 were well worth watching. It seems Die Hard is gonna continue after their latest one was a success... I went to a game once. It was far less impressive than it was on TV and I had pretty decent seats too. 0.0 The first one? Yeah, she was even in SI Swimsuit issue. The second one is a MMA fighter that could probably kill us both. :I But I find Ronda really cute though. :> Of course, the majority of professional female athletes tend to fall on the masculine side of features and don't really appeal to the mass majority of men so I will agree with you there. But for the most part, I think the athletic body type is pretty attractive. Well, it'll surprise you a lot then. ;> Hmm, I kinda wanted to do that too. It may be children's literature, but I find children's literature to be fun. I mean, Charlotte's Web is still one of my favorite books. I've read the first published Narina book and I think I liked it well enough when I was younger. There's suppose to be a lot of Christian undertones and ideas there. If you read them, lemme know what you think. So far, I'm kinda struggling with Frankenstein. Too much long winded talks and not enough action. It should get more juicy when the monster reappears though.
    18. Edward Cullen

Yes, the English language is a contradiction. How is facade pronounced fa sod? Really? I know it's from French and all, but man. Hey, YOLO still annoys me a lot. Carpe diem is better. :ippy I guess. But it's not really school's fault. Most people don't really know what they want. It's tough to make a decision when you don't have all the info and all. Still, unless they find something better, I suppose they should just leave the current system be. Yeah... I don't buy that at all... ;33 I see. Well, that movie legit creeped me out at certain points. When they had the whole heart ripping thing and body in the lava part, I was like... @___@ Well, the third one involves a pretty serious subject after all. Well, that's true. But think about all the direct to DVD Disney movies too. Same idea. Just cheaply make something that is slightly related to the previous popular thing. It'll sell. Still, it's nice to see some nostalgic stuff if done right. For the most part, they've done a decent job with these late sequels. Yeah, a game can be anywhere between 150 minutes to like 4 hours depending on how many people got on base and stuff. Generally speaking, the higher the score, the longer the game took to complete. Well, yeah, I don't want a female bodybuilder. But how is this not yummy? :yay And this girl would likely beat us both up easily, but she is so smexy. :high Hmm, I don't read much fantasy or sci-fi... Ironically, I've seen a load of sci-fi and fantasy movies though... How about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? It's suppose to a mystery book. Of course... everyone knows the twist, so it's not that much of a mystery anymore.
    19. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
Hmm, yeah. In English, bad means good in many areas. And ill means cool. It's so... strange at times. But I think it's fine. Language should be dynamic, not static. I see. But the thing is... many people don't know what they want to do until they already learned most of this stuff anyways, so I suppose it's OK for the most part. But I don't claim to be an education expert, so I'll let someone else handle that. I don't claim to always be truthful. You do though. :ippy Hmm, they had human sacrifice in the 2nd one IIRC. I think that's what made it the darkest of the Indy movies. 3rd one is quite lighthearted and comedic. I suppose that's true. Most animation studios are guilty of this. It's easier to milk it when it's with kids' stuff since kids enjoy almost everything. It was a good movie. But the problem is... it started a trend that for the most part... I don't like. Yeah, it's like baseball. The scoring determines how much time is needed. There's no pre-set time limit like they do with football/basketball. They play until they reach a certain number of points. I'm sure most of them are really exhausted. :omg Well, this is too much, but this is so yummy. :yay Like I said, the male soccer/football players should watch the women play. They're much more physical. I think she's cute. I mean, she's not the instant erecto type of appearance, but she's like... pinch her cheeks type of attractive. :> What do you like? Want something long or short? Words only or illustrated stuff? Maybe I can recommend something. :O
    20. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
I figured. Well, language changes so much over time, so it's no surprise. Well, learning about how to manage money and stuff could be helpful. I rather learn that than how to determine the degrees of a triangle and stuff, but alas, it's how the educational system works. I can cook, but not advanced stuff either. Hmm, don't you worry that you'll lie to yourself so much that you won't even know what's true or not anymore? :maybe The second one felt strange. It was too dark and the characters were kind of one shot characters for the most part. Well, Shia is retired, so I don't think it's gonna happen. I think Indy 4 is good enough. I still blame Rocky Balboa for this. Because of that movie, studios realized that if they make a sequel to an older popular franchise, they can make money. :ippy They are quite long. Some could take up to 5 hours if the good players are evenly matched. Plus, the way the scoring works, you never know how long it'll take to win a point or whatever. Well, I find athletic women so... yummy... :yay Their toned bodies in action with all that sweat dripping... :faint Some guys may find athletic women intimating, but I feel a strange attraction towards women who could beat me up. Is that weird? lulz And tennis women be some of the hotter athletic women. :hehee Well, Carlos Puyol pretended he got elbowed and got a player red carded. It was disgusting and what made me hate Spain... :sag I think Bella/Stewart isn't bad looking. : O I think I'm gonna read Frankenstein next. I should take a break from the epics. Just finished Gilgamesh. That was alright. Oh, about that, I think it's just the name or something that Stoker borrowed from what was known about Vlad the Impaler. I could be wrong though.
    21. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
Hmm. How different would you say the two languages are? Based on what you've said, it seems the two languages are a bit too different for the modern Greek person to be able to read ancient texts. Makes sense. Well, I feel teaching us stuff like cooking and laundry might be useful. I do think home economics classes should be taught more. I mean, who doesn't need that? :maybe Yeah, you keep telling yourself that. People who lie to themselves are the worse. ;33 Well, I didn't really like the 2nd one all that much. Can't even remember much about the first one. They should do more human mythology instead of inventing mythology for the sake of the movie. :sag Hmm, I don't think there will be more personally. Indy is now old, married, and has a kid. If they did a fifth one, it'll have to be a lot like the third one only with Indy as the father. Women's tennis is shorter (3 sets is so much shorter than 5) and it's more competitive (top 4 men are in a league of their own while a lot of different women win in tennis). It also doesn't hurt that I find athletic women very attractive. :hurr Ana Ivanovic, Maria Sharapova... :kloff IDK. I know very little about golf. With the men, they always play the victim. I still remember Spain's dirty tactics at the 2010 World Cup. That was disgusting... :apathy Stop hating on Edward. He's just trying to live his life out as best as he can. Besides, Bella went after Edward. He wanted some distance. Blame Bella. :ippy I'm a bit of a horror fan so those two books should be must reads for me. Yeah, they're not suppose to be the same thing, but over time, they became confused as the same thing. I suppose that's just how myths work.
    22. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
I mean, they translate Old English and Middle English stuff here. I imagine it's the same there for Ancient Greek stuff. Is there any good stuff that you guys wouldn't translate? Very much so. It's spelled similar, but the meanings are very different. You can read it without too much trouble. Understanding it is a different thing. Maybe they should start focuses earlier. I mean the thing with education now is that it's general in the beginning, but they start focusing later on which may not be the best idea for some students. Just a thought and I have nothing to prove I'm right or wrong either way. Man, I hope you're proud of the lies you have just told. :ippy I see. I thought it was decent. Had good action and decent humor. I just didn't like that they had to invent mythology that didn't really exist. Oh well. Uh, I heard there may be a fifth one, but it's not too likely atm. Kinda just an idea. If there is a fifth one, I hope they go back to human stuff. I didn't really like that he had a son though. Ugh... The third one was awesome! :yay Hey, that's how it works for rappers. You gotta be dead to be the greatest of all time. :-( I like tennis, especially women's tennis. :hurr Golf is always boring though. I think it was a US college player. She was hair pulling and hitting people in the backs and stuff. That's why the women are cooler than men when it comes to soccer/football. How else can Edward blend in? In physical appearance, he's a teen. Teens go to high school. That's how it works, man. ;33 Maybe I'll know more when I actually read the Dracula novel. I really wanna read that and Frankenstein. Those two novels are huge in the horror genre. It's basically what the Holy Grail in Indy Jones 3 is. Somehow over time, the two became the same thing...
    23. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
I would imagine. I'm sure the Greeks need to translate Homer too if they want to understand it. I know I don't understand Chaucer that well. I mean, I have trouble with Shakespeare too. Yeah, but you tend to learn a lot of stuff that you don't really need. But oh well, it's not like I can change the educational system of the entire world. Besides, it's worked for the most part, I think. Right. Liar liar pants on fire is more like it. :ippy The fourth Indy was strange to say the least. The first three seem to be based on actual religious artifacts. The fourth one seems to have been created by the scriptwriters. I didn't like that. It still was a decent move though. Well, people tend to look at things with rose colored lenses sometimes. You'll notice that if an author sells well, his/her older works still start selling a few copies too. It's just how it works. Well, soccer is on the major channels almost none of the time. On other other hand, they always cover the big golf/tennis tournaments. If the level of soccer/football catches up in America, it'll get more popular. The best way is for the USA men's soccer team to win though. The American women are cool though. US Women's Soccer team. :kloff So many cute players. Alex Morgan is so yummy. :ruri I do feel the biggest problem with soccer/football is the diving though. Based on the last major tournaments, the women get right back up after getting tackled. The men get touched and act like they got shot or something. The women are more manly than the men. ;33 Hey, you gotta make sure you blend in. Besides, learning is good. :> Still, I wonder how Vlad and Dracula got connected. It's not like the same thing. It's kinda like how the Holy Chalice and the Holy Grail got connected somehow.

Well, I guess the Chinese learn Classical Chinese too, so it's the same idea. But for the most part, Classical Chinese is just different grammatically. I think it's written the same for the most part. Oh, you know exactly what I mean, my Greek brother. Let's not pretend here. :hurr Well, that's true. It's kinda like Star Wars. The original trilogy was unique in that everything didn't look brand new. Most of the stuff had a rustic feel to it. Most new series are really shiny, so you lose the classic vibe a lot of time. Hmm, but it's even worse when someone has one good work and then all of a sudden... all their previous works were undiscovered masterpieces... ;33 Well, then at least they don't have to build another stadium for that. I think it's like... number 7 at best. The big three are American football, baseball, and basketball. Hockey is a distant fourth. Tennis and golf are probably 5 and 6. I think football/soccer is easily the most popular sport in the world. I hear basketball is catching up and might be number 2 soon. I'm gonna say Yao Ming had a huge hand in this. He made the NBA a lot of money from China for obvious reasons. Well, isn't Edward technically a teen himself in that body? :p Yeah, I'm thinking Stoker likely drew some inspirations from the legends. I think the Vlad stories came before the Dracula novel.

Why did you guys learn Ancient Greek at all? It doesn't seem to serve much purpose these days... :hmm Anyone can buy plane tickets. ;} Eye candy only works if you're watching it for eye candy if you know what I mean... :maybe But sometimes poor special effects aren't a bad thing. Like stop motion effects gave off a classic vibe. It just feels right in some movies (ex. Jason and the Argonauts). It's this thing. There are a number of video game series based on that novel. Maybe that's why you think it sounds familiar? Hmm, that's true. It's truer for books, I think. A lot of authors need to die before they're considered any good. :< Yeah, some things are kinda boring tbph. I don't really like water polo or the discus throw (though that's part of the track and field stadium, right?). It's kinda that way with football/soccer here. Some teams don't even have their own stadium and use a NFL stadium or something. It looks really cheap at times. Age ain't nothing but a number. Besides, who wants the old women when you can have the young women? :maybe I wonder if Dracula is a Bram Stoker invention or if Stoker got the inspiration from something else. I know Carmilla predated the Dracula novel.

Well, not to mention it's time consuming. And it's one thing to be able to understand Ancient Greek, another thing to be able to read it out loud. Stop hating, man. I'm legitimate. :redface Hey, I'm a supporter of plot > all. At the end, the story is more memorable than any special effects. ROTK is a really good Chinese novel. : O Yeah, I sometimes wonder if people just prefer older versions due to nostalgia. Maybe newer movies just aren't given the same chance. Well, that's true. Beijing has the same issues with most of the stadiums. They just don't have any purpose and they're just rotting right now. Edward Cullen be cool, man. Don't hate. Hate on Jacob Black. Now that's a really detestable man. Trying to steal another guy's girl. That's low, man. :ippy Dracula is easily number 1. No idea who number 3 is though.
