Yeah, I usually respond to IMs faster and stuff since they tend to be short and stuff. But I get what you mean. If it's a subject you're passionate about, you tend to rant about it. :>

Yeah, I'm kinda nervous about reading Dream of the Red Chamber for that reason. It's suppose to be the greatest Chinese novel ever, but it's about domestic and family affairs. It's just so much less epic than ROTK and Water Margin. :I

Man, did the Homeric Greek eat any vegetables? I hear so much vivid description of various meats, but I've only heard fruits mentioned about twice or so. Grapes for wine and pomegranates at Alcinous's palace. That's about it.

Well, don't worry, I'll respond to it eventually. With longer responses, it just takes me a while longer to reply to. I just don't have the patience to write tl'drs everyday. :I It's not bad though since tl'drs provide a lot more information than short replies.

Ah, I see. I guess we both like the epics and stuff. I prefer epic literature over stuff like biographies and domestic affairs. Perhaps this is why I tend to not like literature written by female authors. Most of them deal with domestic affairs and feminine issues.

Man, can you write less...? This is gonna take me a while to respond to...

On another note, uh, if you're into epic shows and stuff, I hear History is gonna make a historical fiction show based on Vikings. There's also a 10 hour special on the Bible. Both sound pretty interesting.

Don't get me wrong. Bits and pieces must exist, but the whole thing? I doubt it. It would be a pretty large file and it'll take a while to make. I really don't see a big market for it, so it's probably not gonna happen. I'm sure there are people who can read it, but I doubt many would pay to hear them read it. It's a pretty long poem too. It ain't hustling, man. I'm just a businessman. :> Yeah, if it was made for TV, the budget probably wasn't too big. It's also kinda old, so that doesn't help. I mean, I just saw the classic version of ROTK (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) and the special effects were terribad. :I The new version looks pretty good though. I might watch it if I ever wanna relive the experience. :hmm Well, I liked it when I was younger. Of course, it was cause there was a lot of action and stuff. Nowadays, I don't know if I would like it or not. It still looks pretty good though. The director's cut is more bloody and stuff. That's always good. :maybe Yeah, I'm kinda glad it went to London in 2012 and not NYC. US Economy is already pretty bad and stuff. @___@ Yeah, it happened to Beijing too. A lot of stadiums just sit there now. I'm sure Athens didn't love building softball/baseball parks just for a two week event. :I Hey, sparkling vampires be cool, yo. Edward Cullen is probably the 2nd most well known vampire ever. 3rd place is not even close. :ippy

P.S. Sure, no prob. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Really? They have the whole thing on audio? I know there are English translations read. Be surprised if they didn't have modern Greek too. However, Homeric Greek? I doubt it. I mean, who would buy it? No one is gonna buy it and it would make no sense to make it as a result. Hey, a guy has to try, man. Hustling is a skill, boy. :> It seems 3 hours is the max for the show. Still... I wonder how bad the special effects would be. :lmao It's not a bad movie. It's a decent action flick and the music is quite fun. Not accurate though. If you just watch it as a movie, it's not bad. Besides, Greek mythology varies so much anyways. But yeah, it's a decent movie. I'm gonna check out the director's cut after I finish Odyssey probably. :yay Hmm, I hear modern day Greece is really poor. Apparently, Athens 2004 drained a lot of money that Greece really needed. Most of the stadiums are just... wasted now from what I hear. Yeah, in the Iliad, the Greek gods were really important. In the movie, they weren't even shown, I think. But yeah, I would love to see a good TV adaption of Iliad and Odyssey. It seems unlikely though. :I

Yeah, that was pretty cool. It feels more authentic, you know. But no, I meant like someone read the poem in Homeric Greek on audio and sold it. But no one is gonna since pronouncing everything is hard and there's probably a very small market for it, if any. I think modern Greek is a fair compromise for this. Oh, you're Greek? You shall be my Greek brother then. I will be Diomedes and you can be Glaucus. I will trade you three pieces of bronze for ten pieces of gold. :hehee This thing? Looks awfully short for the entire 24 books... I liked the Troy movie. I'm planning on checking out the director's cut soon. It's suppose to be better than the theatrical cut. It's not a faithful adaptation at all though. It's quite loose. Yeah, I think it's mostly a budget thing mostly. It'll be expensive to make.

Well, I would love to hear the Odyssey read in the original language, but I doubt that will ever really come about. It's a lot of work and there just isn't a big enough market for it. I would love to see good TV adaptions of Iliad and Odyssey though. They would have to make it modern Greek though since no one is really gonna speak Homeric Greek. I guess even English is fine. :O
