Those arcs were all excellent arcs, without question, and I agree that the Dressrose arc has been dragging out for a very long time; hopefully, Oda shall end it soon, but I hope that he does not rush through its ending, since an arc this epic needs to have a proper ending.
Ah, yes, the Arabasta arc was one of my favorite arcs of the series, as it was the first arc to have results that resounded through the entire world, rather than a single nation, and it also had Crocodile, one of my favorite characters in the series.
It is interesting that you used the abbreviation "ASL." Some time ago, a user on Deviatnart started a webcomic called Double K, starring Kamina and Kittan from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as a "buddy cop" duo in a Miami Vice-inspired alternate universe.
After reading that, I thought that it would be an interesting idea to have Ace, Sabo, and Luffy as members of a mafia family in a Godfather-inspired alternate universe, working for Whitebeard's family, with Whitebeard as the Godfather and the other pirate crews as rival families. The story would be name A.S.L., in honor of the three main characters, just as Double K is named in honor of its main characters. Unfortunately, I lack both the artistic skill and the free time to make such a vision a reality, so it is nothing more than a fanciful idea, currently.
