I don't know if you were able to get the sense of it being so young, but having lived through the earlier big boom, the drop off, and all the stuff after the Monday Night War up until now, that time in wrestling was unreal.

It was like a band getting huge and becoming ubiquitous. The NWO was bigger than wrestling. That led directly to guys like Austin, Rock, Goldberg, Sting, Undertaker, and even Triple H becoming common household names basically at the time. From '96-'01, everybody knew and talked wrestling. I graduated high school and started college during that time being known as one of the big "wrestling" fans around, I had people coming out of the woodwork asking me left and right about stuff when they were getting in to it. Shit, I and two buddies took a group of six chicks to a Thunder taping in Albuquerque. They heard we were going and wanted to tag along because it was the cool thing!

And now, A.) I feel old. and B.) Shit was cool back in the day.

And you're spoiled! You started watching as the industry and specifically the WWF started hitting on greatness. I started watching when I was a kid in the 80's boom period, and other than falling off majorly around 2009 until The Shield debut, the mid 90's for both companies was horrible. Thankfully, shit hasn't gotten that bad again.

And speaking of Taker, are you ready for him to be retired at 32 by Cena?

Yep. Watched and been a total mark since I was a kid. Was and still am an NWA/WCW fan over the WWF/E. I will always have a spot of hatred for Vince MchMahon and his rewriting of history in regards to Nitro kicking his company's ass. Triple H going over Sting pissed me off so severely. Oh well. They're repeating many of the same mistakes that WCW did and it's sad, but somewhat enjoyable to watch the company suffer for it. With Sinclair backing ROH for the long haul it seems, they might slowly build to be a real competitor.

I've been impressed with how much Reigns has genuinely stepped up his ring performances the past few months. But dear god, he's not Cena! Keep him off the mic as much as possible or let him be the cocky asshole he actually seems to be at least in part. Creative fucked him badly buy pushing him so hard and quite frankly, they may never get it right if they try to make him Rohm Ceigna.

What do you think is coming up for Survivor Series? Apparently, the plan was for Seth to drop the belt to him so I can see him winning and fending off Shaemus. My fantasy booking is:

-Reigns vs. Del Rio in the semi. Both are disqualified or counted out.

-Ambrose vs. Owens in the other semi then becomes the finale with winner becoming champ.

-After an epic, hard fought match, Ambrose wins and becomes champ.

-Reigns comes out to congratulate and celebrate, but then turns and utterly annihilates Ambrose. I'm talking blood, head chairshots, complete devastation. Reigns is the new face of the Authority.

-Authority comes out on Raw to do their bullshit 20 minute opening promo in which they reveal that Ambrose was hospitalized and is still there to their knowledge after the attack. They expect Ambrose to be a fighting champion though and he has a match against Reigns and if he doesn't show up, he will lose the belt due to a stipulation.

-Reigns and the Authority come out, Ambrose makes the dramatic entrance to fight, but is in now shape for the match and even though he gives his all, Reigns beats him and finally becomes champ as he deserves.

-Ambrose and Reigns at TLC, with Reigns retaining due to Authority interference, and they take him out.

-Brock vs. Reigns at the Rumble happens, but the Rock costs Lesnar the match, setting up Rock vs. Brock at 32.

-Cena wins the Rumble. (Don't groan.)

-Cena vs. Reigns at 32 with Cena winning his Flair tying championship. (They need something big for 32 and this would sell it if they could properly build it.)

-Reigns gets the belt back at Payback or around that time.

-Ambrose wins the Money In the Bank briefcase.

-Rollins returns the night after Battleground and demands a rematch for the title he never lost at Summerslam.

-Ambrose comes out to break up the confrontation between Rollins and Reigns after the match is set and delares that he's going to cash in at Summerslam during their match.

-Summerslam finally sees the Shield 3 Way for the title that should have headlined Wrestlemania. Rollins goes over pinning Reigns but controversy ensues as Reigns foot is under the ropes and Ambrose has a hand/arm on Reigns during the pinfall as well.

Don't have much beyond that.

Cena gets a ton of shit the he doesn't deserve, but boy howdy did he fuck Barrett's career. He was doing ok again when he got the IC title and then dumbass Swagger screwed up his shoulder. Now he's basically the illegitimate son of Regal and the Brooklyn Brawler...

Yeah, things started slowing down around here, then the great Double-sided Derpfest Of The Quincy Dolls hit and chased many regulars off. After that, it just got kind of sad around here and no fun. It takes Kubo pulling off reveals of epicness, in good, bad, and ".....WTF?!" ways to get this place firing up again.

I'm waiting to see what the sword does, but even though I liked the chapter and like seeing Nanao-chan gets some love, Kubo pretty much took the sledgehammer to continuity and logic. On one hand, I'm really hoping he just goes balls deep and takes this to full on absurdity like Nanao soloing X, but at the same time, Kubo has pulled back from the brink in the past. There's still stains of Deus Ex everywhere, but hell, I read Bleach in good part due to the crazy shit he throws out from time to time.

Hell no! The prices for Prime baby parts will go through the roof! Plus, all those ones from Guatemala and Chad are just too stringy with no marbling.
