Anyone think it's possible he's using some sort of genjutsu like Tsunade and is much older than he appears? I don't think it's possible for him to have learned the Shodai's technique from Shodai himself based on his apparent age, and if Shodai had taught it to someone who taught it to Yamato someone would've known about it. He wears Nidaime's headgear which is starting to seem less like a tribute and more like something fitting for someone of his ability. The major thing that got me wondering was the last quarter of 286. He talks about Tsunade breaking Jiraiya's bones for peaking on her. It's likely that this is probably a story that's been repeated amongst the ranks, but it seemed to me like Kishimoto was using the whole hot springs scene just so that Yamato could say that and express knowledge of things that happened a long time ago.
