Please, you think Hidan can stay in the circle against this?

The only thing keeping Gai out of this fight is Plot no jutsu. Since Gai can move at several times the speed of sound he should have been here a couple of seconds after they radioed for help.

In hindsight, Hidan's mandatory stand in the circle is froth with weaknesses. I'm not sure why he is so arrogant about being immortal if all it takes is a push for him to be vunerable.

Any heavy use of elements would be able to shake his stand in the circle. I.e. His feet alone can't help him withstand a strong blast of wind or high pressure water. Yes the opponent will take some damage when the element hits Hidan, but they could also quickly followup that attack with a move that puts him out of commission.

Heck, he is a sitting duck against any puppet user. His only advantage is that he could very quickly end the match by killing the opponent right away, but as with all villians, his arrogance and need to speak to his opponent quickly becomes his downfall. Why must he feel the need to have a conversation before killing them? That few extra minutes allowed someone to figure out the weakness in his jutsu. (I know it's fictional, but i'm being sarcastic)

For me, his only redeeming quality would be to exhibit versatility in moves outside the circle but unless Kishi plans on gluing back the head to the body for another battle, that probably won't happen (I can totally see a reattached Hidan in the future though)

Yes I am playing Monday Morning Quarterback, but I think Kishi went a little lax with building up this character's strenght only to quickly reveal that it very susceptible.

Actually he's still immortal outside the circle. He just can't hurt you by hurting himself outside the circle.

Don't they need the Bijuu/Jinchuuriki alive for the ceremony? Unless it doesn't matter, but I had thought I spotted references to keeping them alive...
