Has anyone ever used RPG Maker 2003 by "Enterbrain" for the PC? If so, pleeeeeeeeease, help me! I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong! I'm trying to make an event but for some reason, it keeps screwing me over...

Well rpgmaker is not a game. It is a program used to create turn-based rpg games... I once made a little game in it. So if the OP could specify the problem, maybe I could pull out the solution from somewhere in the dust of my mind...

oh, thank you for explaining that

i got the id for a guy who works a lot with it....but he's not on right now...

okay, anyways, I'm trying to make a one of the cell gates slide to the right. Well, I'm like 95% sure I have the script right, but only the top half of the door will slide over.

So the problem is not the event itself, but rather the "animation" for the event?

Well, you could always, just use a tutorial, which can properly give you a better explanation then some random guy at a forum though...

well, thats just it.....i'm not quite sure

the coding for the event is:
<>Move Event: This Event, Face Right, Face Up, Face Left
    <>Move Event: db1, Move Left
    <>Move Event: dt1, Move Left
    <>

But only event "dt1" and "This Event" moves..."db1" doesn't.

hmmm... I'll have to admit that I am not quite sure. You will properly get better advice from that other guy, or an online tutorial.

"db1" abd "dt1" and "this event" what objects are they? Are you sure that you are typing in the right "orders" for them?

It is more then a year ago, since i used this thing, so my memory may be a litle dusty, and I can't seem to break this one.

"This Event" is the one that the coding is in.
"dt1" is the top part of the first door.
"db1" is the bottom part of the first door.

After I changed the facing for the event, I didnt think it mattered what order it came in...

I used 2000 and can't find 2003, but I was just as frustrated as you with this game/gameengine myself :S
