Well since special eye abilities are sort of cliche anime/manga... Which eye technique is the best in battle. Assuming all the users have the same physical and mental abilities.

May contain spoilers for Blackcat and Basilisk (abilities not immediately revealed).

Byakugan - Naruto - Sees 360 around the user for a wide range and see a person's chakra flow and points.

Evil Eye - Getbackers - Traps a person into an illusion insantly for a minute.

Gennosuke/Hyoma's Eye Technique - (Don't think it has a name) - Basilisk - Instantly forces anyone who looks into the person's eyes to commit suicide. Whatever technique they are using is immediately turned against them.

Glaspar Eye - Black Cat - Sees into the future to a certain extent but drains the user. Also able to stop time for at least 5 seconds without any strain or taking up much energy.

Ryuugan - Tenjou Tenge - Sees into the past and the future, predict a person's move to a great extent, read a persons thoughts, along with the ability to project very realistic illusions.

Sharingan - Naruto - Predicts a person's movements to a small extent. Mangeyko Sharingan allows the person the ability to trap a person into the illusion for 72+ hours and reduce them to ashes with a glare. The affects are nearly instant but requires time to activate and it takes a heavy toll on the user.

I'd also go with the eye technique that can stop time for 5 seconds... seems a bit over powered.

Give that eye to any ninja, and they can stop time and kill anyone in the 5 second time frame, before anyone knows what's going on.

Ryuugan and Gennosuke/Hyoma's Eye Technique sound horribly overpowered.

I'll give it to them. =/

Ryyugan, Byakugan and Glaspar Eye don't require direct eye contact, but don't have any eye based 'attacks' like the other three do. Sharingan, Evil Eye and Gennosuke tech can turn pretty much anyone to formidable opponent by just the skills they grant to you alone(the others do too but to lesser extent). The others need some skills from the owner too, but are in my opinion more fearsome with skilled user than the others.

But as I see it, if users are on the similiar level, Glaspar Eye and Ryuugan are the winning choice, because the other eyes require eye contact, which Ryuugan and Glaspar Eye's future sight will most likely prevent. Byakugan isn't that sure to prevent it. I believe Glaspar Eye and Ryyugan are the top tier. Glaspar maybe winning over Ryuugan because of the time-stop ability. Sharingan has a good chance of winning with Amaterasy though, since we don't know how fast it really is.

Well not exactly sure about the correct spelling... translations are sort of iffy in the latter scanslations...I've seen it mentioned as Grasper, which would make sense as it sort of "grasps" time or that may simply have been an assumption of the translation based on the ability but Sven doesn't really call it that until he does gain that ability so it would make sense if the name is based on it. The Scarlet eyes does improve his battle ability but tied to nen and more physical than merely a technique granted by the eyes. (Along with making Kurapica very overpowered...)

I suppose if they aren't aware of each others abilities. Hyoma's doujutsu may win as all he has to do is open his eyes, and part of the training to attain the eyes requires being able to fight without the use of eyesight, so users of it won't neccessarily get hit by the Evil Eye and the Tsukiyomi of the Mangeyko sharingan.

Though if they are aware, well the Glaspur can stop time. But the Ryuugan allows mind reading along with ability to see in the future. So I guess you can get into the whole "See the future that was changed by the other's ability to see the future" deal.... So I'd say they're around even. Maybe give the edge to the Ryuugan.

Gennouske's, it made those guys just kill eachother in insanity and made the hand scythe guy's technique go back into his face. If i remember correctly.

Has Basilisk anime finished being subbed? I kinda stopped watching it but it was awesome, but due to the wait for new eps i sorta lost interest and moved on to other things.

And on topic - Ryuugan. Assuming its future sight is absolute it would beat the Glaspur/Grasper. But in the hands of an assassin Grasper sounds more effective.

Ryuugan from Tenjou Tenge was for the win. It turned loosing battles into winning battles with those prediction powers...hmmm but the Sharingan has slight prediction abilities as well as copying skills doesn't it? Plus Ryuugan users just went crazy when using it since they didn't really have control over them selves. Hmmm

I don't know if you have seen Gennosuke's dojutsu, but man, it looks great.

He had all these enemies around him, and suddenly he opens his eyes and all hell breaks loose, distorted colors everywhere and 2 glowing orbs where his eyes should have been, when everything else looks shadowy...

    I was like O_______________________________________O

    Let me take a screenie.

The Ryuugan sounds quite overpowered, I mean mind-reading AND seeing into the future in one neat, little package? Wow, I can just imagine it.

"Hah! I know what you'll be thinking about 2 minutes from now!!" O___O

I say Ryuugan is the best.

Ryuugan is the same as the Glaspur eye but Glaspur doesn't have the side-effects.

Plus it stops time. Code has it wrong. The eye before it evolved into the Glaspur used to drain alot but now Sven Spams the Glaspur eye left and right with little energy drain.

What did I have wrong? I mentioned in a latter post about Sven not calling it that particular name till he gains the ability.

I don't get how the Ryuugan is the same as the Glaspur eye also... I ment

The ability to see into the future. Thats why people seem to be picking the Ryuugan.

Sven can now see in the future easily after his cannonball training, he didn't lose that ability. He just gained the ability to stop time also.

    Gennosouke from Basilisk.
Even against Ryuugan. Only Oboro's eyes can do anything about his tech.

He LOOKS at you, and the best thing you can do is walk away cause any attack you had intended will be turned against you.

Even if it was just you swinging a sword.
