How could you forget Zelda, a Link to the Past and Super Mario Bros. 3?? :yell Those are two of the best games on SNES!!

All I really experienced was SNES and a little NES. The others were before I could understand what a video game was, so I didn't vote in the poll. The SNES was a great system though. The games are still very good even in this time of high powered videogaming.

Super Mario Bros 3 was for the Original NES.
    I did forget Zelda though.
    Both are amazing games though.
I recently beat Super Mario Bros 3 about 2 weeks ago with a friend.
    It took forever haha.
Yeah the gameplay is just enticing so I always seem to go back to the old school systems when I dont have a game to play on the Xbox Gamecube Ps2 PSP or DS

Sorry, I sometimes get NES and SNES games mixed up. With all the remakes on newer consoles, I never remember what the original console was.

The SNES was the king of consoles in it's day. Even though I had a Sega Mega Drive II, my neighbour's snes was always more fun. Anyone ever play Unirally?

Whomp Em and Super Mario 3 on the NES were fun.
Sonic, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage were good on the Sega.
I never owned a SNES but I liked Super Metroid.

Anyways yeah...the SNES was the lord of my destiny for most of my childhood. The Prince of the Universe if you will.

It really bothers me when people use the term "Best" instead of "Favorite" because seriously there is no "best" unless you bust out technical specifications and crap. Please people use "Favorite" from now on for my sake at least ;3

At the time when I used those systems I was a lil Sega kid. I had a Nintendo but it kept dying on me and my sega had better graphics so I thought it was better ;P

Now I would say that overall the Nintendo was superior. Never had a SNES.

SNES was my favourite system. Followed closely by Genesis. IMO...

SNES contained amazing games such as Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World(3?), Final Fantasy III (VI), Super MArio RPG, Chrono Trigger, Tales of Phantasia, and many others...

Genesis had Sonic, NHL games that were really enjoyable, and many other of which names I have forgotten.

As much as I loved my Genesis, I think SNES takes this one due to consistency and the perfection of some of the games it has on its roster.

SNES would've gotten my vote, but then NES ended up getting it (but just by a little bit).

I've hooked up my NES many times in the past few years when friends came over to play Bubble Bobble, Ninja Gaiden, SuperC, Duck Hunt, etc.

Snes, no contest what so ever some of the best games of all time are snes...Earthbound, SMRPG, FF6, and so on...snes probably beats all systems since then for the amount of great top quality games.

The SNES with my Super Scope and Mario paint mouse and turbo controllers. Damn those were good times. :cry

I'd pick the NES first since I had some memorable times with it such as using the zapper and power pad (which I still have to this day!), but trying to get some games to work with the whole blow method or two cartridges method really irked me. XD

You forgot Gunstar Heroes for Genesis.

As for the topic...URRGGGHHH! This is tough. I was obsessed with Sega when I was a kid, mostly cuz of Sonic. Now though when I look back...I gotta say SNES. Some of the best first party games ever and some of the best RPG's ever.

Nintendo kicked ass for its time, but betwen Genesis and Super NES is a tough one.
I mean for genesis theres Sonic - Sonick and Knuckles, Streets of Rage 2 & 3, Road Rash 3, Vectorman 1 & 2, NFL 95 and Cool Spot, all of which kicked ass.
But SNES had Super Mario World 1 & 2, TMNT 4 (which was better than its genesis counterpart), Zelda ALTTP (my favorite), Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Chrono Trigger etc.
NES had the classics with SMB 1-3, Chip & Dale, Zelda 1 & 2, Battletoads, Captain Skyhawk, Godzilla: Monster of Monsters etc.
But I guess Ill give it to SNES. I was tempted to go with Genesis though. Youre missing out if you havent played any of those 3 systems.

No thanks, if you look at the polls, reason why people say best is because they were much better than the other games. What makes it the best games is, their sells, the polls, graphics, replay value, etc. Not because the games were their personal favorite.

I voted snes because of the great games I played on it were, super mario world, super mario rpg, super metroid, a link to the past, secret of mana, mega man x, probably some games I'm forgetting.
