Pretty much what it states. As for me, I have three songs in mind (Not counting the songs from ...And Justice For All, since they're obvious.)

    Disposable Heroes - Metallica

    War Pigs - Black Sabbath

Goodbye Blue Sky (From what I understand, it was about what happened in WWII, with the Blitzkrieg and whatnot)

Sons and Daughters by The Decemberists si pretty good, especially with the "Hear all the bombs fade away2 chorus at the end.

Then there's "Iron Man" by sabbath, of course, not because it's about about war specifically, but because it's about mindless retribution and death.

Then there's "I Fought the Law and the Law Won" by anyone who has ever covered that song, because it pretty much sums up what you get into when you get into war.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot "I Fought In a War" by Belle and Sebastian, which is just heartbreakingly awesome.

any viking metal is usually pretty good for war-time songs. Amon Amarth, Ensiferum... bah I know a lot of songs that would fit good for war, but I can't think of any others atm besides these 2 bands

Bolt Thrower is a no brainer, that's all they write about. But do you mean songs that glorify and romanticize war, or songs that portray its hellishness?

If we're going for songs that portray its negative qualities, how about The Marines Have Landed on the Shores of Santo Domingo - by Phil Ochs. Anti-war, yes, but a good war-time song nonetheless if one is against a war while it's going on.

I've never listened to Turisas, Elexorien, Doomsword or Wizard, but the rest of those songs are pure win for war-time songs.
