Titled "It's Nothing"
I can wait!
That was amazing
I'm hearing amazing things about the animation here.
This will be the first anything of Black Clover I'll ever consume - (it's been difficult to get on board with the character designs). Might follow if it hooks me enough beyond the animation.
You're gonna start at episode 63? Lel
Wouldn't be the first time I'd get hooked by a later episode. What was the episode number of the Bleach episode where Grimmjow punched Ichigo in the face a bunch? That hooked me and made me start that series properly.
Read the manga instead
i need a gif of asta breaking out of that shell
. . . Hmm. From those preview pics, I didn't think it to go all loose like that. Was expecting detailed and shaded animation like Ichigo vs Grimmjow. Instead I got the looser and more off model Naruto vs Pain. And unlike the Pain fight, it was kind of a pain to follow. . . . Oh well. Can't really say the animation sold me on the series (I wouldn't really expect every episode to animate like that regardless). However, the story was somewhat interesting, the girls were cute and I do wanna see what happens next. Hmm . . . .
Not exactly a gif
This part is a fav
I'm six minutes in, and...
...what the fuck is this DBZ/Star Wars-looking battle? Shit is hard to follow.
EDIT: Just finished. Bruh...what a fucking letdown. I don't think I would have liked that even if I was an anime-only.
Yeah I was really hype for this but the animation just didn't vibe with me 100%. Also the sound of ground breaking and stuff like that could have really enhanced parts of the fight. Instead we get this really expressive/flashy fluid animation with not much oomf imo
Was still great to see Asta. Next week tho
first part of the fighting wasn't to my liking but the 2nd half was real good.
Asta is best boy right now in WSJ
I fell in love with the animation, to be fair, my eyes is hurt so I re-watched it twice to watch the animation again, pretty solid.
One of those "great animation, bad execution" episode for me. I could tell that it was artistic in how it showed action, but you have to keep one foot in reality to communicate to the viewer as to what is actually going on. A pretty, garbled mess is still a garbled mess. Glad I saw that fight, but I won't be revisiting it anytime soon.
Holy crap the queen is awful. We went from "heartless mother figure" to "apologetically insane" rather quickly. The power to control blood is intriguing yet grotesque. Waiting for Asta to overcome the mind/blood control right in the nick of time.
It wasn't bad, you could tell they worked on it and it's definitely better than the Pain fiasco with Naruto cause faces we're ok it was mostly the background and movement that was confusing. But yeah, not my style and it really was hard to follow at times. The sounds were weird at times for what we're used to with BC, felt like I was watching Dragon Ball. I would've preferred the more clear, distinguisheable animation.
Still, it was a very cool episode mostly the second part of the episode, and the ones with the demon from the first part. If the fight with Ladron had been animated in a more detailed way it might have been perfect. The part where the Queen used her blood magic on Asta was chilling.
I can't remember how everything was in the manga to tell whether they added/changed stuff in the anime, especially with the demon scene. Cause I got some Naruto vibes I don't remeber getting from the manga, for example (don't think that'll help with comparison). But anyway, if they did, I just hope they didn't do anything misleading.
Oh they changing anime too? which chapter I should start with manga before this arc started? I've been planning to read that manga.
Also someone commented on a reaction youtube channel about black clover ep 63
That's pretty cool!
All throughout that fight, I was thinking, "We're supposed to believe that Aster isn't Captain level?"
Completely broke the internal logic of the series. Now they'll have to out-do this fight with every single subsequent climactic battle. This was so stupid. WHY were they destroying hillsides and mountains? Dafuq?
Only Ladros destroyed any mountain in that ep
I don't know exactly what you mean by changing the anime to answer but there have been small alterations. Nothing too serious such as changing plot points or adding actual filler arcs like the ones we had in Naruto but of the top of my head:
- filler in between canon moments, usually comedic and mainly to make espisodes longer
- showing some flashback or forshadowing scenes earlier than they do in the manga
It's not surprising from this studio but at the same time it's a blessing they haven't started with entire filler arcs (yet).
I have to agree, I also found myself thinking it was excesive and kind of misleading considering how usual fight are animated. I don't get what those nature destruction sequences were about.
I'll take your word but it was still confusing af and unnecesary, I think.
Just read from chapter 97 if you're caught up with the show already. If not, this arc starts at chapter 82.
That's true! I don't know anything about the changes and I have no idea there was some fillers. I'm mostly anime only, but I'm planning to read the manga too.
Oh I caught up with the anime, and thank you!
because ladros is powered by strongest nature spirit in terms of DC perhaps? just a thought
Don't you read the manga ?
Mereoleona trashes Anti-Magic form Asta
And Jack and Yami apparently shredded a mountain while sparing
This is golden
Exactly! And the first question that will pop into anime-onlys minds is, "Wait, Aster defeated someone that had absorbed the raw power of the strongest spirit, how is it Leona one-shotted him?" A year ago, I had a debate about this with a person that had READ the manga and thought Aster could defeat Captains. You expect there to not be confusion among anime-onlys? What is deluding you?
As for the Yami/Jack thing, "pics or it didn't happen".
Agreed. Now post the tsunami of colors that was the couple of minutes preceding that clip.
Leona is an absolute beast .
We already know this .
Plus this is way different.
This version was prolonged by the Witch Queen . Asta himself can't Hold it for very long
I find him super annoying.
