If I am rich, I would like to buy manga because everything is official, names, conversations, etc. However, reading online is free and much faster.

as far as naruto goes, I wouldnt buy the manga because of the quality and changes. If it stayed true to the original, then i would buy it.

Unless the artworks really stylish (Bleach, par example), and the translations are up to scratch and stuff, and generally really worth your purcahse, then downloading's just easier and quicker.

I do a mixture of both and always prefer buying. However due to slow releases in the U.S. combined with the fact I want to read the rest of the series, I end up reading it online.

I feel sorry for shonen jump readers who don't know the wonders of scanlations.....I used to be that way.......I still buy shonen jumps, but not for the same reasons, because I'm pretty much up to the latest eps and chapters....oh how i feel sorry for the people who wait painfully every month for that sj to come....that pained me so XD

Well, I would buy if a shop around here actually had them. I do have some manga, lying around somewhere, and I'de rather read them then sit on a hard computer chair reading manga, but reading online is what I do most.

Why buy when you can download? I download everything, with an exception of GetBackers because I can't find them ANYWHERE!

and I can't find source for Fullmetal Alchemist Manga, can anyone tell me a good source?

If I really love the manga, I'd probably buy the full set once it's all complete. Right now, I'd rather download them online. :sweatdrop

if i could buy it, i'd definitely buy it. Cause in Taiwan(My home country) each volume of manga costs like, $2USD. Very cheap. But i live in NZ, so i don't get to go back to Tw alot, so i usually download it.

Woah, you from Taiwan? Me too! But still, the manga in taiwan is still very expensive, like 80-110 NTS.

But in Thailand, one manga only costs in the range of 20-40 Baht, which is not even a dollar. Only like 50-80 cents
