    Well?

I personally think that sharingan can, unless this is Bloodline, if a Sharingan user were to get a PEn and a Scroll...And see how the Jutsu is done, than I think it can be copied...

But WILL it be copied in the series....:blink

If its just a regular jutsu with no stipulations then yeah it can be copied. However I think that its something that only Sai can do. Whether its the special ink, pen or (which I think) is the chakra in the ink which is probably Sai's. If they can get that out of the way then yeah I think it can be copied.

It can't be copied because the person with the sharingan wouldn't have the neccessary tools to perform the jutsu.

Highly doubt its a bloodline limit.
Maybe its based on the tools he uses or quite possibly a different kind of Kuchiyose.
In either case it cannot be copied.
But there is the fact that he says "Ninpou...".
Not like its any worth copying tbh.It was pretty weak.

I think Sharingan can copy it, because it would copy hands movents while jutsu user draws and sharingan user can see how chakra flows to paper and ,if he knows where to get right tools...

Not every jutsu can be copied by Sharingan - the user still needs the technical skills to perform the jutsu, even if they can understand how it is performed

For example: Despite seeing Rasengan multiple times, Sasuke was never able to copy it, even when it was shown that the Rasengan did more damage to the water tower then his chidori, while using less chakra.

This particular jutsu seems to require alot of highly specialized skill, in addition to some very unique tools. So no, a Sharingan user couldnt just copy this one. And even if they could, and gathered all the unique tools just so they could perform the jutsu, itd be a poor mans imitiation, as theyd only be creating the one creature they copied, without any natural artistic talent of thier own, theyd pretty much suck at it.

well, if the ink isnt a special ink, then yes, if the sharingan user has the tools he can copy it since he seem to use normal hand seals

Of course the drawing part can be copied like in the chunnin exam test when sasuke use sharingan to copy the finger movements to get the answers. The justu could probably be copied, but you might need a special brush or ink or scroll like sai has.

Mmm... Maybe with the aproppiate tools.. But it may be that such a precision is needed that it can't be easily copied. (Not probable)
    I don't think it's a bloodline, anyway. Only a specialist techniche.
About the Rasengan-Chidori, it's obvious Rasengan uses less chakra. Remember the 2 chidori per day limit? Naruto did dozens of would-be rasengans while training, and even if he has so much chakra; I think that shows that it isn't so much chakra consuming.

Comparing the limits of Naruto and Sasuke?
The way only that would work is if Sasuke and Naruto had the same chakra control and stamina. And if that were true, Sasuke could also create 1000 Kage Bunshins and summon Gamabunta.

Their limits are far too different to even be compared.

I still don't see why Rasengan vs Chidori chakra usage is so important in this thread, but... Rasengan seems as if it would take less chakra because you're just spinning it around. The chidori is letting chakra flow loosely around the hand. I'm sure you have to keep a constant flow of chakra to your hand to do it, thus wasting some stamina. Stamina is what you make into chakra.

There's more to it than the pen/scroll/movments. I'm sure there's a lot of percise charka control that went into his technique.

    How about this:
Kakashi was able to perform Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu when he was nearly out of chakra, but at full chakra he is still limited to four Chidoris per day. Thus it's reasonable to assume that Chidori takes a helluva lot more chakra than Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.

If Chidori used the same amount of chakra as Rasengan, then judging by the number of almost-Rasengans Naruto created during training, he should be able to make billions of Kage Bunshins with no problem.

    How about this:

Naruto was able to use Taijyu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, Kage Bunshin 3 more times and still have enough chakra to split 1000 ways over with another Taijyu KB.

From the Neji fight, we know that chakra is divided evenly between the Bunshin and the user. (Another debate) Naruto's spaming is much greater than Kakashi's. So he should be able to perform more than 4 Chidori, like Rasengan.

So? (You're referring to the Sasuke rescue arc, right? Tajuu against Kimimaro, Kage Bunshin against Sasuke, and Tajuu against Sasuke?)

Naruto spent weeks creating one Rasengan after another from dawn to dusk. That's probably dozens if not hundreds of attempts every single day, each one using as much chakra as a full Rasengan, just lacking the control and constriction necessary to make the Rasengan truly destructive. Jiraiya said that the first stage stresses technique, second stage power, and third stage control. When Sasuke used his two Chidoris per day, he was completely paralyzed until he used the seal. But after Naruto spent a day creating dozens or hundreds of almost-Rasengans, what did he do? He ate dinner.

Let's say that, at the third stage of training, Naruto created one almost-Rasengan at a rate of two per minute. Let's also assume he does this nonstop all day, stopping only for an hour in the morning for breakfast, an hour for lunch, and an hour for dinner. That's still effectively eight hours of the day entirely dedicated to Rasengan. That's nearly a thousand almost-Rasengans each day. Even if we halve that, that's still almost five hundred Rasengans each day that Naruto did daily. Only after a WEEK of this did he show the same physical symptoms of chakra depletion as Sasuke did after only TWO Chidoris.

Now look at Kakashi. He was nearly out of chakra when he performed Tajuu Kage Bunshin. Let's say he was at 12.5%. Tajuu Kage Bunshin (let's say 200 clones) would therefore use about half as much chakra as one Chidori, since Kakashi's capacity is four Chidoris (each one taking 25% of his chakra).

If Rasengan takes as much chakra as Chidori, then Naruto is capable of creating half a million Kage Bunshins in one go. That's just not reasonable. He would've been able to fight the whole Konoha Invasion alone, since there were only a few hundred Sand and Sound ninjas during that whole thing.

It's better to think of it this way: Chidori is a butane torch, Rasengan is a buzzsaw. Chidori expends fuel (chakra) constantly to create a blade that can cut through anything. Rasengan takes a set amount of chakra, then spins it. The spinning is what cuts things, like a buzzsaw, not the amount of chakra.

    Teh math

    Nope. Naruto's fight with Gaara.

One week, if you're talking about the third step.

He wasn't completely paralyzed. He still was active enough to dodge in his fight with Gaara. He even had enough chakra to use Katon Goukakyuu.

The same Naruto who was able to heal from a life threatening wound within minutes? The same Naruto who is able to regain strength within a few hours of sleep? I'm not all that surprised.

Jiraiya also said that Naruto had barely been back at the end the day before the bet. But he had been there. Compare it to 14 Sasuke Chidoris if you must.

then again, this doesn't really disprove of what I've stated.

I don't even think Sasuke could even spam Kage Bunshin like Naruto. I've already stated that Kage Bunshin splits chakra evenly between the user and its clones. He's effectively able to split his chakra approximately 30 ways, then split his chakra 5 ways, 2 ways again, 2 more ways, and then 1000 ways before he couldn't divide anymore. That's less than 1/1000ths% of the dude's chakra.

You tried to compare this to Kakashi, who had divided about 50 ways once. If he even divided 1% of his chakra 50 ways, that's still a much bigger fraction than what Naruto had. What does that mean? Naruto's stamina is much higher than Kakashi's. He should be able to do a helluva lot more Chidoris, Rasengans, what have you.

If Kakashi made 200 clones, that would divide his chakra 200 ways. If he had 12.5% after making the clones, then he would have 2500% chakra before attempting to create the clones and that's impossible.

Well, no one besides Naruto has been able to effectively duplicate himself, over and over and over again.

I'm not saying Naruto creating 500,000 Kage Bunshins is possible. I'm saying this guy's stamina can't be compared to Sasuke or Kakashi, who have limits.

The spinning comes from compressing more chakra in it. The more chakra you're able to spin into a sphere, the stronger it will be. The set amount of chakra for the third step could be anything. Chidori uses fuel constantly, but the rate of chakra it expends (let's say 7 chakra units per minute) could be smaller than the set amount of chakra needed for Rasengan. (Compressing 50 chakra units)

You two get back on topic.

No i dont think Sai technique can be copied, i just think it something that requires thought into it and the right equipment.

Yeah, usually weapon based jutsus need more than just the Sharingan.

But I think it's possible, if they have the same equipment.

It wouldnt matter, because you also need artistic talent

The Sharingan user could copy it in theory if it isnt a bloodline jutsu, and he had the tools, but he would also have to have artistic talent and a vivid imagination.

For example, Sasuke may gather up the tools and figure out the chakra flow after observing Sai closely, and then realize he cant draw a stick man to save his life.

Theres so many different factors to this jutsu betweent the tools and the natural artistic talent, that Id say figuring out the chakra flows is just one aspect of it.

Let me put it like this. I dont think learning this jutsu would be a wise expenditure of time for a Sharingan user. He could do it eventually, but it wouldnt be the instantaneous copying and wham he has the jutsu. Thered be alot of effort put into it, like Sasuke when he had to train for months to mimic Lee's taijutsu and build up speed for Chidori.

    Oh, ok.

Fine, one week, whatever. I'm talking about in the space of one day, Sasuke can only do two Chidori, and Kakashi can only do four. Kakashi can do tajuu kage bunshin with barely any chakra left.

And we don't know how much chakra a goukyakuu takes. He was able to perform katon goukakyuu over and over even as, what, a six year old?

That's why I mentioned three hours of downtime: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Even if he spent four hours training, and a minute for each Rasengan, that is still 240 Rasengans in one day.

What the hell are you talking about?

Yes, he WOULD be able to do more Chidoris. But he wouldn't be able to do a THOUSAND CHIDORIS A DAY.

No, I mean the had 12.5% of his normal chakra BEFORE he performed tajuu kage bunshin.

Then admit that Chidori uses much more chakra than Rasengan, because that's how many clones Naruto would be able to create if Chidori and Rasengan were equal in chakra usage.

Look, you're basically saying that Naruto has over 200 times the chakra capacity of Kakashi, and 400 times the chakra of Sasuke. No, actually, even more, because Naruto's lack of chakra control would mean that his Rasengans use more chakra than normal. Does that sound reasonable to you?

Mind you, this is WITHOUT Naruto calling on Kyuubi.

It was stated that you need a constant flow of chakra to maintain rasengan, and if i remember correctly, Jiraiya said something about rasengan, in how the user need a night chakra capacity.

I could be wrong, but i think i saw that.

    On topic,

I do believe the sharingan can copy Sai's technique, unless there is something else to it.

Antenox why do you persist to stay of topic not one thing is asociated to sharingan copying the painting.

I agree with the person who said what good is it if they can only paint stick men. Even if they some how mangaged to copy it there would still be to much to learn, i wonder who taught sai that skill.

Jiraiya said that Rasengan was well-suited to Naruto because it required only chakra, no handseals. I don't think he ever said it needed a constant chakra flow.

Who gives a shit? Can that be copied, can this stupid new jutsu be copied?
