No point in adjusting anything just for a one person, but thanks for being so involved :catadorbs
I think that something like grilled/fried gonna attract more people anyway.

I pass. My best cooking is chili and those aren't used in bento boxes. Plus it's hard to see fried meat in a pot full of chili.

My "culinary" cooking that isn't soup would make Gordon recommend McDonald's instead. (I'm not as bad as my brother's ex-gf. She *burns* water when she tries to boil em)

Nep said that as long as you take a picture showing that you pan seared or roasted it that it's fine to cover it in sauces or well chilli

But it's up to you completely

I think for this competition we're going to stick to meats, fish or veggies. I don't really consider eggs to be seared or roasted :catthinks

Haha thank you, I'm glad the ad has worked out so well. You can always watch the thread as well so you don't forget

i mean in the picture they just put oil on a pan and then just cooked the meat over it... that's pretty normal right.. why do americans call it seared or roasted, what's the difference? (i am an american but just not white)

Seared is what you described, using a little bit of oil on an extremely hot surface and putting the meat over it.
Roasting isn't done on the stove, it's done in the oven

Searing meat is not an american word. It started with German and French chefs and then originated all over the world.

as for the roasting thing...tf i always thought roasted was like when you see those chickens on a stick and they're rotating in the fire. like "roasted chicken" or perhaps im thinking rotisseire or however the fuck you spell it

Nah, it's the same thing but you don't have to make the entire chicken. You could roast just the thoughts, drumstick or wings and make buffalo wings if you wanted to.

C'mon guys, if you take this long I'll have time to bust out the pot roast and then you stand nooooo chance!

Btw guys, roasting/searing can just be the first stage, I often pan sear chicken and then finish cooking it in a bit of broth.

The following image is for example purposes only and is in no way a submission.
