Q is bored and peeks into other universes. He notices the destruction of Alderaan, and sees the battle station. He warps it in the middle of the Neutral Zone.

The Imperials are told by Q himself that this is a new galaxy, 100% hostile to the Empire and the Death Star. He tells them the coordinates of Romulus to start this scenario.

The time frame for the ST Galaxy is a week before First Contact.

    Round 1: Legends DS.

    Round 2: Disney DS.

Round 3: Movie only DS, ST technical manual for Trek powers. Vader and Tarkin are on board.

Dude, the Federation (and the Romulan Star Empire, by extrapolation) couldn't even stand up to the Borg... what chance do they have against a planet-killer? Let alone one carrying an individual who can engage in mind fuckery over long distances, which is sure to mess up the empaths if nothing else.

Literally Trek's only hope here is if they know about that vital exhaust port on the Death Star.

Imperial Fleet as it was in TESB, sans Vader or Sheev, would be a more interesting match tbh.

Well as much as The Death Star is superior I can actually see them discovering the weak point and taking advantage of it. They do have sufficiently decent scanners and time on their hand to find it since the Death Star is going to take some time to destroy them all.

While we never see the turbolasers used on anything smaller than fighters, they are supposed to be used to defend against capital ship-sized starships.

It wouldn't take any time at all. Hyperdrive equipped FTL is vastly faster then Warp FTL used by Star Trek, on top of that they can literally wipe out entire fleets with conventional weapons on the Death Star ignoring its superlaser. The Death Star also was able to circumvent around a gas giant like Yavin in under 30 minutes while traveling across the Yavin star system and was hopping around one end of the galaxy to another in under half a day's time.

Do they have things to teleport?
Because assuming we're just using the DS and not anything else, they could probably just beam something explosive in there, couldn't they?

    No.

Because shielding alone disrupts and interferes with teleportation tech in Star Trek. In fact, even ECM, jamming, dense material, radiation, and other factors frequently get in Trek teleporter ways. The Death Star's jamming field was powerful enough to disrupt the space-time and extend into hyperspace according to the ANH novelization.
