    Blackbeard is a hated character.

Now that Luffy is the 5th Yonkou, why don't Luffy, the former Whitebeard Pirates, Sabo, and Shanks all attack and destroy the Blackbeard Pirates? It's a common enemy amongst all of them.

Luffy, Sabo, and the WB Pirates all hate Blackbeard for betraying Ace and Whitebeard, and Shanks hates Blackbeard for causing the scar on his face.

You would have 2 Yonkou Fleets, 1 former Yonkou fleet, and Sabo who is near-admiral level against the Blackbeard pirates. They don't stand a chance and they would be crushed. Why don't do they do this!

He's not a top priority to anyone.

Marco is happy protecting Whitebeards home, Sabo has a bigger goal in demolishing the wg with the revos. Shanks is doing some shady work with the wg itself for whatever reason and Luffy doesn't do revenge for the sake of revenge.

Luffy is not the 5th Emperor.

Cause BB is the end game. It's how shonen works.

Shanks could have raped BB straight after Marineford, it would have been even less of a fight if Marco & Co teamed up with him just for that.

So its either the good old BB plotshield (most likely) or Shanks has ulterior motives.

It's probably less of wanting to beat Blackbeard and more of finding/locating/cornering him in the first place. Even for the yonkou ( Big Mom ) who seem to have a permanent base/residence, they have safeguards in place that they know who are approaching them miles before they meet in person. Couple that with Blackbeard's character being the scheming/opportunistic type, and it seems that the only scenario where a confrontation takes place would be one that Blackbeard himself wants and is ready for.

But don't they have known territory? So you can go capture that territory. If you capture that territory and they never come out of hiding, then they're no longer a Yonko because they don't have the sphere of power over the new world.

Yeah he had 2 years to do it homie. On top of that considering Marco and company attacked BB anyway they would have certainly been down to fight BB as soon as WB was in the ground.

    That motive being ... FEAR

Pre Yami, Pre Gura Teach inflicted a wound on Shanks. Just how monstrou is Blackbeard now ? Marco is lucky he has regenerative powers because he'd be dead if not for it.

A Yonko’s territory encompasses a sizeable amount of area. Losing a few islands isn’t significant enough to lure Blackbeard out, that is if these islands are of any strategic value to him. If what you are proposing is a large scale invasion, that is even more risky as they would have to commit significant amount of forces both to invade and later hold onto them. The more time this operation drags, it also exposes the attackers own territories to other yonkou as well as the WG/Marines.

They are all hostile to Blackbeard as it is. Marco already fought him, Shanks is a rival Yonko whose favorite hobby is warning people about how dangerous Blackbeard is, Luffy has him in the hitlist along with all other Yonko.

Why they do not coordinate attacks is the same dynamics as all other people who have mutual enemies + balance of powers.
Luffy has other stuff going on and he does not have the personality to mastermind something like this. Shanks is a Yonko and has to measure his moves with Big Mom and Kaido and Marines lurking around, plus moving on Blackbeard is risking lives of all subordinates not just his + looks like he has some balance of powers related agenda going on with Gorosei. Marco already explained what is the deal with him and that village.

Also none of these guys have the relations and personality where they would ask each other for help. Marco is not going to call youngsters Luffy and Sabo to help him fight a Yonko. Shanks probably wants to shelter him from Blackbeard until as late as possible. Etc.

The dude was basically one shot by 5 seconds from death WB at Marineford shit even earlier in the day he got fucked up by magellan and his ass was saved by plotshield, do you seriously believe one of the yonko would be screaming on the ground in front of magellan. Just because he managed to damage younger shanks doesn't mean he would be able to do anything to him at MF.

Shanks is talking about him being dangerous because of what he has the potential to become (well became considering hes a yonko now) & because he's of the way he operates.

Shanks & his crew + a another yonkou crew is absolutely insane, they would have stomped BB.

He receives more pain than anyone in the entire series, that amounts to pretty much any attack he's ever received having him rolling on the ground in pain.

... That's my whole argument about Mihawk, I mean, we don't have a specified time frame of exactly when was their duel .

The simple fact of the matter is that it's a matter of time. Luffy hasn't reached Blackbeard's territory, and Shanks may be concerned that while he's obviously increased massively in power that he hasn't reached the level where he can comfortably match Blackbeard.

The Whitebeard Pirates are basically out of the game, they've gone the Roger Pirates route and are fading into history. While the Revolutionaries do have a beef with the Blackbeard Pirates, they're running a time sensitive operation right now that has to be done during the Reverie.

Back to our heroes, Luffy is currently involved in a heavy committal infiltration and conquest operation of his own in Wano Kuni, a completely isolated battlefield against another top level super opponent that involves several groups of allies.

You're asking this question, but the answer is timing. Even if Shanks was going to ally with Luffy as soon as he was in position to attack Blackbeard, Luffy still has to get there. And he has other obstacles he has to go through. This isn't a situation where he can just warp whistle to Blackbeard's territory, raid his command ship, throw him in the water and be done with it.

And Blackbeard himself isn't just going to let his opponent's choose the battlefield either.

Shanks isn't fond of war, although right now he seems like he'd be the best chance and reasons to take out BB. Ignoring the plot which suggests that BB will keep worfing people Luffy could look up to. Until finally Luffy punches him really hard and he gets arrested, changes his ways or killed by a third party just like everyone else. So Shanks is likely to go the same way as WB and Ace.

The Revolutionaries and the remnants of WB's crew tried to fight BB separately, they probably underestimated him and thought they could solo. Given BB's tendency to hit people while they're down, I doubt they have the remnants of WB's crew have the ability to fight another war. Momentum is crucial in war and BB is on a roll. Plus the Revolutionaries are busy with the WG, their primary enemy.

Frankly, with the amount of common enemies the Revolutionaries have with both the marines and BB, they should have formed an alliance with someone. If they'd made an appearance at Marineford instead of Shanks, they could have made a major difference and saved WB or Ace. If they'd successfully recruited some Supernovas or Marco at Marineford they might have made more of a difference in their battles.

Basically, though I see Shanks making it to retirement.

The Revolutionaries didn't try to fight Blackbeard solo. What happened was they had a security breach and Blackbeard gave them some of that Pearl Harbor swag and trashed Baltigo. But the Revolutionaries successfully retreated and regrouped elsewhere.

The thing is the Revolutionaries have one singular goal, to eliminate the World Nobles from the equation. They have them tagged (correctly) as the source of all evil. They don't actually care about the battles between the pirates and law enforcement.

Re: Revolutionaries seemingly avoiding key alliance opportunities

There's honestly more than a half-decent chance that the Revos, or perhaps Dragon specifically, regards the Yonko as every bit culpable for the very status quo that they unequovically detest and ultimately wish to erase from the face of the planet, as they do the World Government and their tendrils of military enforcement (Navy, Cipher Pol & Shichibukai)

While they are not directly responsible for the continued survival and propagation of the insidious global-elitist supremacy, they could very well be viewed upon as indirect enablers of the hyper-defensive/under-siege attitude that the WG holds towards preservation of the Tenryubito class, through their insistent upholding of the Three Great Powers gridlock for the past two decades between Roger's execution and the rise and inevitable insurgence of the Worst Generation.

Considering Shanks' clandestine and naturally suspicious interaction with the Gorosei (with the possibility that the Revos already possess "incriminating" intel on Red-Hair holding such a compromising diplomatic position?), plus regarding the destructively selfish impulses and agendae of both Big Mom and Kaidou...Dragon and his subordinates having minimal regard or even open disdain for the potential of such a partnership makes quite a bit of rational sense, to me at least.

A Revolutionary-Yonko/New World pirate crew alliance also has to be viewed, crucially, through the lens of a PR front with regards to the global citizenry comprising the WG's population, and potentially even beyond: Dragon isn't planning to merely reduce the present WG system into utter obsoletion, he wishes to usurp their control and re-mold it into a more equitable and humane infrastructure for governance, either through direct supplantion of the pre-existing apparatus or by political mandate of public representation, electing competent and compassionate leaders, etc.

You don't exactly curry sympathy and favour to your "revolt and replace, for the good of the people!" mantra by tying your faction to the hip of a band of internationally recognised and near-universally feared/loathed brigands, raiders and outlaws, most of whom have been documented as repeat pillagers/conquerors/murderers.

Not to mention the simple possibility that Dragon himself may hate the act of piracy and those who engage or proft in the criminal lifestyle, in spite of his priority in eliminating the inbred slavemaster landed-gentry of the world. For one, there's really no indication of any major fallout or mutual enmity between him and his father, Garp, despite what we know of the latter's attitude toward big-time pirates as a source of malignant influence.
