Yep technerds already modded a bunch of shit into the pc version.
It's not even the Gunslinger death ray. You just need to parry an attack which stuns him and leave him open for 2 attacks, minimum. A normal shot + small laser shot eats away half of his life bar before he even has a chance to DT. Doesn't build any style points but I can at least end the fucker fast.
I had no idea that Judgement Cut was telegraphed and that you could dodge it.
What in the goddamn fuck
You can’t be srs
That just looks hilarious.
And difficult to pull off.
How do you even?
Like any good action game it takes... lots of brave testing. Aka seeing that game over screen and slamming your i frames against many many attack frames.
Jesus Christ. Nero styling on people might be faster in 4 but 5 just has too much cool shit to play with.
LMAO remember when people said he's Donte lite?
I’m still discovering shit in this fuckin game. All they need to do is allow DB switching and it’d be a straight up 10/10
It still fucking boggles me.
I know. Not to sound ungrateful, cuz this game delivered. But the crux of Nero’s combat is the devilbreakers. Not sure what they were thinking with that one. Imagine the level of gameplay it could achieve.
I got so bored with him in DMC4 with his 1 Red Queen weapon, and the DB gimmick grew old fast, especially compared to the walking style arsenal Dante.
No-switch DBreakers are frustrating, in that a single mod on the PC could bring out even MORE stylish variety than what Capcom released.
Yeah, the inability to switch devil breakers in real time is strange, one of the first things I did in the game was test the buttons to see which one was to switch the DBs, after that I checked the menus and tutorials, only after that did I realize you can't, it just feels like something so obvious to have.
Maybe in the special edition if we get one.
When you finally realize the reason why Dante called Nero a dead weight...
Its because he can’t switch devil breakers real time!
It seems they're insistent on having a sort of entry level character for newbies to the series.
Which, fair I guess. DMC is complex enough before you even get to Dante's various weapons and styles. They're so much you can do with canceling alone in the games.
Like hecc Dante is so deep with any ONE style. It's bound to be overwhelming for anyone new.
Then why not add a later upgrade that'll allow Nero to switch DBs after the player has played with Dante?
Could be as simple as they haven't thoight of it yet.
I actually ended up having more problems with DMC5 than I would've liked but not having real time Devil Breaker switching is not one of them. Considering you can customize your loadouts any way you want before the level starts, that already gives you an idea what you're capable of doing throughout the level.
Sure, it would definitely give the game more options, which is ultimately what DMC is all about but it doesn't bring the game's stock down. It isn't worse for it.
And Nero is not the entry level character by a long shot, he just has too much shit gameplay-wise to consider at any given time. V's simplistic combat fills that role. Hell, you even have autopilot mode with him. I know his gameplay can be deceptively smart but I ain't never gonna put the time to learn that motherfucker.
So today when I turned on my PS4 I saw DMC5 got a random update, I payed no attention to it but it seems there was some strange changes.
Fuck off Vergil
Vergil DLC incoming
Hopefully Lady and Trish are in it as well.
Yoooo they practicing cancelling mechanics with Vergil LOL
Didn't they already say its not going to come? Don't get your hopes up.
Until at least 2020 for that Special Edition.
PC masterrace will just mod Vergil in anyway
Huh. I knew the motherfucker was quicker than before. He was wiping his ass with me after I booted DMC5 for a duel.
Disappointed Capcom didn't announce any DLC. Or anything for that matter.
They just released two heavy hitters. I think their next games will be for next gen consoles anyway.
His name is Dante
