    Reaperman was definitely a good one....I just like the idea that snowglobes=>shopping carts=>shopping mall.... :p

    I didn't like the Fifth Elephant as much, but that's just me.

    Discworld is a flat, inherently magical planet which rides on the backs of four elephants which in turn stand upon the shell of the Great A'Tuin, a giant space turtle.

    Terry Pratchett invented it. 'Tis a wonderful book series that I recommend to everyone. It's timeless humor. :p

    Yes, please.

    Wyrd Sisters was great. Especially the beginning (well, the whole book, really) because of the satirical take on MacBeth.

    I find it amusing that in a way Unseen University could be considered a send-up of the whole magic-school concept that JK Rowling popularized. And Discworld predates her by quite a while.

    You know, I never really even thought of that. But UU does it wonderfully.

    Who's read Making Money? I don't own a copy yet (tis only a matter of time), but they had one in the UMD bookstore, so I sat down and read it. :p I thought it was pretty good, although I'm not really sure if I like this whole Moist arc...

    aw.. there should be more people in here who likes discworld ^^ i've read almost all of them. actually, the only one i haven't read is the last hero, and i can't find it anywhere!
    my favorite is.. that's impossible! but i'll go with going postal :p

    Wow...such a great fanclub, so little people...sad, really T_T

    Terry Pratchett is my favorite author - I have every single Discworld novel up to Mnstrous Regiment ^^

    My most favorite book of all is The Reaper
    Books, that made me laugh the most: Pyramids, The Light Fantastic, Interesting Times...

    So i see there is a FC for the disc!

    Joining!

    I have read all of them so its hard to choose which one i liked best but i think i'll stick with "Going Postal" simply because the new main character brought a lot of fresh wind onto the disc.

    My least favourite would be "Monstrous Regiment".

    I would highly appreciate some conversation about happenings on the disc because i havent read some of the novels for about 10 years... and after a while its so hard to remember what happened in which book :)

    ...Oh yes, Moist Von Lipwig is amazing, though I know him only from "Making Money", which I bought recently. Going Postal just wouldn't show up in the bookstore... ;/
