I personally don't care about artists, music genre or popularity of the song. I listen to everything, what appeals to me

There are certain genres like doom/drone metal, punk rock, noise rock, and what have you, that I would prefer to be known for listening to, but I also listen to a lot of electronic music (synthwave, future funk, etc.) these days. Besides those, I don't listen to much else, but I'd like to think I listen to a good variety.

I'm open to a whole lot of genres. Altho, I've dropped a lot of stuff from my late-teens that I just refuse to listen to anymore, like no more nu-metal for instance. I just don't identify with the stuff anymore and it feels really self-absorbed. More style than substance I guess. I alao refuse to listen to grindcore. Pornogrind, terrorcore and speedcore are much worse. Reaggeton is also just awful to my ears.

Lately, I've been getting into jazz, I've found myself taking a liking to Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and John Coltrane, altho, I mostly listen to rock (besides hip-hop and soul/funk). I especially love me some punk and most of its derivatives, from post-punk to noise rock to stuff like orchid, shoegazing, ambient and internet "meme" music like vaporwave and witchouse because they're highly representative of this time period so therefore important/relatable and have new sounds, basically, I love any electronic music that can put me in a trance-like state.

If I like a song, I listen to it regardless of the genre.

I tried the whole ascetically listening to one genre thing once and it didn't last. Call me greedy but im a glutton for any music that strikes a pleasurable chord with me, in whatever fashion, from whichever genre.
