Endeavor is sort of a strong counter to Mirio, mainly because he has AoE and Mirio will have to become tangible to hit him which he will get caught on fire.

The problem is, we didn't saw Endeavor fighting full power, so it's hard to argue. But Endeavor does have decades of experience in compare to Mirio.

I'll give it to Endeavor. Decades of EXP, strength, Quirk Mastery as well. If Mirio goes for a hit, Endeavor covers himself in flames so that Mirio gets burned good and well done. That and stamina goes to Endeavor imho.

Have people forgotten that endeavor is the number 2 hero or do you think he's in that spot for kicks? :blobwhat

No, I’m just curious how far we can take the “next number one even among pros” hype.

Being intangible doesn't necessarily mean it protects him from the feeling of heat so that temperature would still affect him. at some point, when he does become tangible. Similar to Issei vs the intangible opponent in high school dxd light novels

Yeah this is not a good matchup for Mirio. To attack he has to become tangible and that gets him roasted in an AOE.
AOE Energy attacks are a good counter to Mirio.

Mirio’s senses get shut off so to speak when intangible per canon and he cannot breathe. He’d be screwed when he turns tangible again though.

Here’s a second question for everyone:

    Can Mirio defeat Best Jeanist?

I guess so, Mirio is an ideal counter to Best Jeanist.

Endeavor can basically burn the immediate area around his person to stop Mirio from closing in.

He can cloak his face in fire, what is stopping him from cloaking his entire being in it?

actually who knows, his suit that is made of of his own hair, does it count as clothes that best jeanist can control. if so can he control intangible clothes which would cancel out mirios intangibility lol

Endeavor wins this, i think Mirio's potential was taken into consideration with that No1 candidate statement, not only his current strength.

Best Jeanist was fast/skilled enough to pull a number of Pro heroes, including a top 10 one such as Gang Orca, away from All for One's attack when he first made his move, and save their lives, so i wouldn't sell him short either.

Mirio stomped 1A in 10 seconds and raped Overhaul+3 precepts, his portrayal is second only to All Might and AFO

Endeavor is a terrible matchup but it wouldn't surprise me if Mirio was precise enough to find a way around it.

Precision doesn't matter he has to close to melee range to do anything.

Mirio has a chance if he can holdout for a fatal attack. Honestly, he has a great defence for fire.

He doesn't. Endeavor is most likely a tank in his own right and Mirio doesn't have the strength to put him down. The fight goes as Mirio starts trying to play peekaboo to find and opening and Endeavor catches him with his flames and the boy wonder goes down.

Endeavor could never touch Mirio unless he wanted him to. Basically it's who can hold out the longest.

I mean it works both ways, how does Endeavor harm Mirio? Going off what Hakura mentioned at best you would lean towards Endeavor because of his ranking and experience but pure battledome logic I'm not exactly seeing a clear cut winner.

He at the very least scales to Todoroki.

Which says nothing since Todoroki got no-diffed along with his entire class by Mirio and Endeavor should be leages above Todoroki based on hype.

todoroki didn't participate. just so you know.

anyways, i'd give it to endeavour. pretty handidly even.

man mirio's powers don't even make sense. it was explained that he turns blind, deaf etc because literally everything goes through him including light and sound but that means his power should include invisibility cause, you know, light can't reflect off of him. he should be a ghost, a quiet invisible ghost. but he's not because horikoshi slipped up in his misguided attempt to nerf mirio with the blind/deaf bullshit and unknowingly fucked up. oh well.

Endeavor's fire is strong enough to melt a regenerating Nomu's face in an instant. Mirio will never be able to touch him. The only reason All Might surpasses him is because of his powerful ranged punches/speed.

Mirio for now. He's untouchable as far as feats as concerned unless he wants to be hit. This is the guy who was able to make it through large scale terrain morphing attacks while drunk, quirkless, dividing his attention to protect a helpless girl, in a two on one fight. No one in the verse is hitting this guy unless he wants it.

Worse is that endeavor has no knowledge on mirio's intang or instant teleportation. He could eat about five phantom menace before he realize what's going on. Endeavor won't even be able to defend since mirio can slip past all spaces in between guards and obstacles to hit from any angle or blindside thanks to partial intang.

Mirio is just another character that was too strong and had to be kicked out the story like All might, AFO, and overhaul. We'll see if endeavor can join that list when he fights gigantomachia. What he showed during the hideout raid arc was simply not enough for a character of his supposed stature.

Physical power sure damage dealing ability though I don't think so.

Pretty much he turns on the flames and stands there. Mirio has to touch Endeavor to do damage and when the contact occurs Mirio will sustain more damage from those flames then he can deal in a punch.
