    thanks!!!

That really is the most probable hypothesis. For information about Vlad Tepes [literally: "To know who is-"], also known as "the impaler", I point you toward the generalist sites about vampires I mentioned in the links [section?].

    Several "proofs" corroborate this theory:
First of all, the entirety of what is said above, most notably how Alucard is nothing but an alias and that it's an anagram of Dracula (Vlad Tepes being often identified as Dracula).

During the order 13, while Incognito is feeling his end coming, he ask his torturer [I'm not familiar with Hellsing, so I can't be sure of the translation; "bourreau" can mean executioner, torturer or refer to anyone who inflicts a great deal of physical and emotional pain on someone else, even unintentionally] whom he really his. As an answer, we can see the face of Alucard, revealed by a flash of lightning, that's to say as it [his face] was "before". The likeness to the Vlad of History is striking then: the shape of the moustache and eyebrows, the shadows that put his face in "relief" around the chin and eyes, the sideway hair. In other words, everything [is there].

    -------

I hope my English is good enough; please tell me if there's a part that doesn't make sense.

[EDIT: Meh, I just paid attention to the thread title. Since it says "English to French", I may have done something idiotic. Or not. *smacks forehead*]

Second translated, thanks. I go to sleep, 04:18 AM here XD...
