Fun fact: until some time ago the EU was the biggest investor in Africa even before China. Only that they haven’t wrapped it up in a plan and initiative. If they do it now it’s only a good thing

AFAIK France is the only EU country that takes Africa seriously. They see a presence there not as charity to relieve their white guilt, but as a strategic investment for the future.

I'm sure we'll see that they were right when the population of Africa (1.2 billion) overtakes those of India (1.3 billion) and China (1.4) billion and they become the new Workshop of the World.

Sweden's only African possession was a trading post in modern-day Ghana, which we soon lost to the Danes who lost it to the Dutch who lost it to the British. I guess we could still knock and ask "remember us?" At least the continuity of Germanic colonial powers means the language situation is favorable to us; English being the lingua franca thanks to the UK being the last ones out.

Mhmm... France has multiple countries in west africa using its currency the CFA which is owned and operated by france out of France. France makes interest on this currency to the tune of 500+ billion a year. ECOWAS joint currency is going to do away with the CFA currency.

I was referring to the parasite part and that Africa doesn't need them.

France is a parasite. They have no natural resources and are an old population. They need Malian uranium to work their nuclear reactors hence why the french fund terrorism. They were opposed to the gold dinar pan African currency, hence why they killed Ghadaffi. France takes more than it could ever hope to invest in Africa. From the Cocoa, to the uranium to the currency manipulation in africa. We dont need them. You seem really offended at African self determination

It's a world power. How many African nations can say the same thing?
    Wrong.

Admittedly far less than most African countries of course.
Older than African countries but it doesn't matter because of the immigration.
How many African countries are even nuclear powers? There was one before buuuuuttttt
Anyway Mali will sell Uranium to France because its valuable money and France invests money to lease the military bases there.
    Wrong.
We have a video of Ghaddafi being killed and it wasn't by Frenchmen.

African countries allied with France seem to be doing pretty well. I guess their leaders know better than you.
Nope. There aren't any African colonies left so all African countries have self determination and have for years. Some are shitholes and some aren't.

The Chinese let the Africans do what they want, they just saddle them with debt and extract resources. The EU will try to interfere in their politics and governance. That is why I can't see the latter going down too well.

    Yawn :mallet
How does this negate them being parasites on Africa??? But let's see what former French presidents have to say:

“Without Africa, France will have no history in the 21st century.”

    — François Mitterrand, 1957

“Without Africa, France will slide down into the rank of a third [world] power.”

    — Jacques Chirac, 2008

Bascially France needs Africa in order to be relevant in the coming century.
Admittedly far less than most African countries of course.
Lmao I forgot people cant tell sarcasm or hyperbole on the internet. "France has no resoruces" means that France has little natural resources left to exploit. Even your article literally explains that they deleted most of these resources like 30 years ago lmao.
Older than African countries but it doesn't matter because of the immigration.
Umm... french people do not want Africans and Arabs in the country. All of sudden immigration is good for Europe?
How many African countries are even nuclear powers? There was one before buuuuuttttt
What does having nuclear weapons have to do with the fact that France needs uranium from Mali and Niger to power its nuclear plants. France and the USA were already exposed during the leaked Clinton emails on Libya. France was shook because the African countries paying colonial tax were making moves to leave their currency.
Anyway Mali will sell Uranium to France because its valuable money and France invests money to lease the military bases there.
Military bases :loool... so you agree that France is engaging in colonialism lmao.
Wrong.
Yawn france was already exposed by the clinton emails. They destroy nations and fund terrorism. French weapons are literally all over Niger, Mali, etc. France is a terrorist nation. ‍♂️
We have a video of Ghaddafi being killed and it wasn't by Frenchmen.
You must be a lil slow on the uptake. France petiontied NATO to bomb Libya. Ghadafficwas killed because French fighter jets and NATO jets bombed the country to dust. They funded rebel groups and set them on Ghadaffi. Now Libya is a failed state.
Your knowledge on Africa is poor. If you dont know the deal with cocoa prices and the 300 billion+ year industry then I cant help you. France and other European nations routinely try to crash cocoa prices when African nations come together to raise prices on cocoa to make more on the crop.
Ignore all the bad France does yet claim they arent parasites. You're so disingenuous.
Nope
The CFA franc is currency manipulation and colonial taxation. African scholars have already analyzed it. The AU is addressing it currently.
African countries allied with France seem to be doing pretty well. I guess their leaders know better than you.
Niger? Mali? The countries that arent working with France or paying colonial taxes to France are doing much better. That's not even debatable. Military bases all over Africa and your talking about their still arent colonized.
Europe especially France see their interests before seeing Africa ones but in comparison how China would treat Africa if they was in total power... ugh i prefer not to think about that....

What? When have the chinese killed 35 million africans or enslaved them till the 1950's? The concern trolling is hilarious. Not for one second do I believe Europeans wouldn't try that shit again.

Learn how to multi-quote. I could give you some French resources if you need them:awesome

Lol @ this weak shit. Nice "explanation" there.
    Depleted*
And sarcasm =/= being wrong. Nice try though.
Right wing political parties don't represent the whole of France. And even then they want them to assimilate to French ways not ban them entirely. Only the hardcore nationalists want that.
    Military bases aren't colonialism:lmao
No they don't. Only French weapons terrorists have are the ones that were stolen.
No Ghaddafi was killed by Libyan rebels. We know this because we can see it ON CAMERA. NATO gave air support but NATO is also more than just France. Btw the rebels requested NATO's help.
I haven't seen any of this "bad". All countries work in their interests, unless they are committing genocide or indiscriminately bombing or something there is no "bad" or "good".
If you're talking about former colonies like Algeria or Mozambique it's because of their abundance of resources and amount of attention during the colonization period. Niger and Mali are for the most part desert, yet France is helping them make something out of nothing through eradication of terrorists groups like Boko Haram.
