off the top of mind there's Nnedi Okorafor, Jordan Peterson and Laurent Gaudé

I heard a number of praise on Camus' work, specially from Michel Onfray (a french philosopher I watched a lot)

    I'm bad with lists.

But some of the ones that really were big impacts for me were people like:

    Kurt Vonnegut
    Flannery O'Connor
    Haruki Murakami
    Cormac McCarthy
    Gabriel Garcia Marquez
    Mark K Danielewski
