The other translations (Which may or may not be less accurate) went with "godlike speed". I think looking at the raws might do well here.
Wasn't godlike speed the Grace?
The quote is "Calling this "godlike speed" is no exaggeration. It's on a level beyond my own Flash"
Doesn't sound real if his Grace was also godlike speed.
Probably more hyperbole than literal. The comparison is largely made in relation to Ludo's grace which is Flash but I doubt the Taizai characters literally can deply lightspeed movement or above. It's just really really really super fast on top of Ludociel's already ridiculous speed. If Zeldris really was able to create a revolving, hermetically sealed-off sphere of faster than light darkness, Ludociel's flash attack wouldn't have blinded him. It would've either been swallowed up or just repelled and not even penetrated.
it's such an obvious hyperbole and you should feel bad for making this unnecessary thread
Scans of the raw?
You'll get Zeldoris Vs TheOne next week. Be happy
There's another group translating this? Can I have link, please?
this ^ (use bro) trying to downplay
It's "like" his moving faster than light. Not really defined as lightspeed making it look like hyperbole.
"not an. Exaggaration"
In-verse showings >>>> character statements
I'm confused, zeldris isn't even moving. So how can ludo make that statement?
Based on the darkness swirling around Zeldris, not the movement speed of his body. And there are several indicators in these panels showcasing why this is not even remotely close to light speed.
Yes, but ludo makes it sound like zeldris is moving at speed.
Well I did manage to find the japanese raws on youtube. In it the characters "神速" was used to describe it. This seems to translate to "god speed". Matches the other translation source, even though that source was riddled with other grammatical errors.
He's been deemed the fastest swordsman in the manga thus far. So even it it is true LS, it's only his attack spees since, like someone else said, he isn't actually moving.
Not that he'll actually have to since he can pull targets in.
wasn't ludo faster than him at swordplay? Based on their skirmish before zeldris used his technique. Ludo also says that this (ominous nebula) isn't the work of his swordplay either. Well escanor has already neg'd the pull, lets see what happens next.
Ludo has been wrong left and right about Zeldris since the fight began, and others have been paying the price for it(not that he cares). I wouldn't cite him as a source for what Zel is doing since he's clearly lost. Merlin is the only one to figure it out.
And Escanor will only have that minute. Afterwards he's doomed, so something better happen in their favor.
I mean to say that I don't think zeldris' regular attacks with his sword are at this speed, since he had to accelerate the darkness to that speed. Hence him getting outplayed in the little sword duel vs ludo.
Also I wonder why a certain someone didn't use true night..
Oh, gotcha. But with just base speeds, he and Ludo were still equal to where they each only received a cut.
As for Chandler...he knows its best to stay in the corner. These aren't kids he's up against this time.
didn't zeldris get 2 cuts? 1 Small and a big gash on his shoulder? Whilst ludo was hit only once.
He did, but they were still just superficial injuries. For people like them who have regeneration, one extra cut doesn't mean much. So I'd still peg them in base as equals.
I know they are meaningless injuries, but to me ludo seemed to have an edge there. Zeldris also tried to attack ludo from behind (or maybe not?) but was intercepted.
Nah, iirc he immediately went for ON after their initial skirmish.
But meh, I suppose I could go for Ludo being slighty faster in base. Not that it matters much.
They weren't equal at all. Ludo was stylin on Zeldris at swordplay.
I don't see how. Unless I missed something, they clashed, then right after it was Ominous Nebula time at which point Zel was raping them.
