Kishi had Naruto doing everything as a Genin, and apparently, the new writers want Bolt to do everything as an Academy student! :defeat

    @Indra
Why would they compare the episode to Zabuza arc? They're not even set in the same place. Different country, different continent.
People need to stop trying to find unexisting/shallow similarities between things.

    What a shame...
I got a bit too hyped by the unconfirmed titles:
BORUTO - NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS: 23 - "Bonds Come in All Shapes"
BORUTO - NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS: 24 - "Graduation Exams ... Begin!"
BORUTO - NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS: 25 - "Farewell, Friends"
BORUTO - NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS: 26 - "Team Building! Enters Team Konohamaru!!"
BORUTO - NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS: 27 - "The Genins from the Village Hidden in The Sand"

    Let me guess:
Ep. 23: An extension of the last panel from Naruto Gaiden.
Ep. 24: Kind of a reference of Zabuza Arc, but without everything that makes it epic. They go on a field trip to the Hidden Mist Village, they probably get lost cuz of all the mist(silent hill style), they torture poor Shino-sensei by giving him an absurdly massive hard time on handling the crazy students and Boruto fucks some shit up at some point.

Not that I hate it tho...

Why? Because that arc also happening inside of the Hidden Mist Village. Zabuza and Haku are from the Hidden Mist Village. Y'know, like, they live there, Team 7 met them there for the first, Team 7 fought them there(it was epic), they also died a tragic and sad death there and all that stuff...

Wait! Yeah, you're right! Forgot they went rogue! I don't know about Haku, but I'm pretty sure Zabuza was originally from the Hidden Mist Village. That's why people are comparing it. Also, is the Land of Waves and the Land of Water kind of the same place?

No, Team seven met themin the Land of waves, which isn't near the Land of Water AT ALL.
Zabuza arc wasn't in Kiri. That's just where the enemies are from, so the comparison is shallow.
No at all. It's not even on the same continent

But Zabuza is still from the Hidden Mist Village and he was extremly famous there. So much that he was known as the Demon of the Hidden Mist. He was also one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist from the Hidden Mist Village. I think these are already enough reasons to compare this ep with Zabuza's arc as he was the main villain.

On what aspect is there anything to compare? Nothing. It's unjustified. And Zabuza's reputation doesn't change anything.
Just because the guy they fought was from this village, it doesn't that mean the comparison to an arc set a unrelated place is justified. In this case, you might as well compare it to the Turtle island training since Kisame is from Kiri too. :zaru

    One again, it's super shallow.

Who even says that there is a villain in that episode? It might just be about Boruto getting on the Mizukage's nerves for all we know.

I won't keep discussing this. It might seem shallow and unjustified to you, but I still think the feeling or better, "atmosphere" could be quite similar. Hell, even if they weren't in Kirigakure, you could see the deep mist during the fight between Zabuza and Kakashi. And yes, I do think it could be compared to the Turtle island training as well. I just started comparing the ep to the Zabuza's arc immediately because they're also both kind of the "begining" of each series. The supposed comical feeling to the ep might remind the Turtle island training much more tho.

Nobody mentioned any new villain though?
It's just people trying to force a Wave arc comparison just because that's Zabuza birthplace (and also because some people actually believed that the Wave arc was set in Kiri :catskully)

Why would there be a villain? It's probably just one of Boruto's adventures with his classmates again.

I said that because you mentioned that this episode can be compared to the Zabuza arc, but for that you need a story similair to the Land of Waves arc, and a villain similair to Zabuza. Since there is no evidence of any of the aforementioned similarities, this episode might as well be about, like I said, Boruto goofing off in the Hidden Mist Village (which is not even in the same place as the Land of Waves). Just my 2 cents :p.

I've seen people compare the Academy Arc to the first arcs of Naruto. Trust me the comparison are inevitable at this point.

There's honestly no way for Boruto and co. to save Kirigakure in a time of peace.

It'll most likely be a field trip to learn how Kirigakure has changed since Part 1.

    Alas fillers :catprone

Or maybe...Kawaki will be from Kiri. :hmm

It would be the first REALLY plot relevant character from Kiri. Zabuza and Kisame were cool but they were not THAT plot relevant.

In this case, the comparison makes more sense, people would obviously compare the original to the spin off regarding the way it started, but here we talking about somehow comparing that specific episode to Wave arc. For no reason.
I've seen people expecting the kids to see the Naruto bridge. Why do people think the Waves arc took place in the Land of Water? Is this some kind of mandela effect or something. Or they're just speed readers? Or they think anything with water around is from there? :ippy

Oh, no no. When I said that, I didn't mean there would be a villain like Zabuza or Haku, I meant that the "foggy" atmosphere would be similar(and also because Zabuza is from kiri). But this time, the mist would be there to comical effect instead of making things gloomy. I'm betting my money they'll get lost in the mist!

It's funny that the anime is more interesting than the manga.

I meant Land of Waves. Mb

Way too early for Kawaki. Manga will show him first unless the Anime is like screw it, he's Karin's son. GG
