What are in your opinion some of the better Dubbed anime series out their. I can easily name these three

    Yu Yu Hakusho
    Rurouni Kenshin
    Cowboy Bebop

all of them seemed to have very natural voice actors, and the subs really fit the characters. When ever I read a YYH fanfic I automatically hear the dub voices in my head whilst I read the dialogue.

So what are some other really good Dubs out their.

Of all the English dubs I've seen, the only one I can recommend is FLCL. The voice acting and cultural translation were perfect.

There's a spanish dub of Shaman King (Latin American version) that I think is quite good as well.

Does that really count since it's originally recorded in English?

Only a few I recall are good

    Cowboy Bebop + Movie
    FLCL
    Big O
    DBZ
    Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
    Night Warriors: Darkstalker's Revenge
Zoids: forgot which generation but it had Liger and Berserk Fury and stuff

Mmmmm....I guess the early Pokemon series back when I was in the sixth grade wasn't too bad either

Probably a few more that I don't remember

Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Batou's voice was expecially good)

and Elfen Lied's english dub was good, especially Lucy's and Kohta's, which fit really well. Though Nana's voice was a tad annoying sometimes, and it was far far better in japanese.

Yeah, because, like Vampire Hunter D: Bloodtlust, the script was originaly written in japanese and the mouths move to the japanese script. So the English actors have to put as much work in as any other dub for an anime that was originally recorded in Japanese.

    Anyway,
    -Outlaw Star
    -Wolf's Rain
    -Ninja Scroll (Film)
    -Naruto (To an extent)
    -Evangelion (Though somewhat mentioned)

In reality, pretty much every dub is good so long as you weren't a fanboy of the original Japanese :p What an interesting psychological analysis :)

No, Afro Samurai doesn't count, as the script and mouth movements were for English speakers originally.

Oh screw you. After episode 26 of Naruto, they got better. Also, they do a decent job of Bleach (Although I don't like Rukia's, Renji's and Bya's voice much).

    Anyways, my favorites would be:

    Trigun
    DBZ (Oceangroup)
    Cowboy Bebop
    .Hack//SIGN
    Naruto
    Bleach
    Tenchi Muyo

No, screw you. That my opinion so fuck off.

Actualy, I think Naruto has gotten worse. Lets not turn this into a Naruto dub thread. Thats not what i had in mind when I said Viz. I just hate them in general.

    FMA has the best dub.
Rurouni Kenshin and Ranma have pretty much decent dub.

A lot of dubs are still flawed and far from perfect. But I don't think anyone can deny that improvements have been made these days and many are a lot more tolerable than they used to be.

    My favorites:

Ghost In The Shell - SAC
    Cowboy Bebop
    Fullmetal Alchemist
Goldenboy - Douglas Smith as Kintaro was just out of the planet.

Not that it's terrible, but I don't think the dub for Kenshin is really that good.

I can't believe so many mentioned Rurouni Kenshin. The actors didn't even pronounce names consistently. That's just a big time no-no and should take it out of contention in such threads IMO. DBZ was mucked up too IMO.

Making a dub as good as the original is an near insurmountable challenge. Most of the ones I've seen don't even come close to the original, rarely a few come close, and super-rarely they match the original. I know that it's kind of unfair to be hard on dubs, but the way I see it, you've gotta say it like it is. If the sub is more worthy of viewing, then it should be said.

Ones that did a good job, but fall short when compared to the Japanese version:

    Trigun
    Fruits Basket
    Gantz

The super rare ones that match the Japanese versions:

    FLCL (A truly amazing feat)
Spirited Away (among other Ghibli releases)
Cowboy Bebop (still prefer the Japanese version)

Evengelion since spike spencer made shinji a classic in a sense. Prefer him mor than his japanesse voice actor.

    Naruto's voice is iconic

    Goku's

    Spike's

    Edwards

    Renton

    Ichigo

they all sound godly in english, it's like thats their official language and personilty when voiced in english.

    IMO.

Wendee Lee does not sound good as Haruhi.

Almost all dubs tend to annoy, especially since most Female VAs tend to have this annoying voice. But meh:

Naruto - Only recently have I actually thought this a good dub. They did so much typical crap dubbing when it first began, but now it's much better.
FLCL - Only actually seen a few clips, but it always struck me as almost like watching the exact same thing, but with english, of course. FLCL was handled so well.
One Piece, in the future - Because anything will be better than 4kids.

I only know a few, really.
