Probably, he keeps himself in the news by making outrageous statements from time to time.

Which, strictly speaking, works, because can you name any of the other 3 reps from Iowa? :zaru

I swear I saw him on some follow-up after this and tried to gain some popular appeal by saying Africa has beautiful ruins or something. Anyone know what I'm referring to?

Hands up all those that missread the title of the thread and thought Stephen King was back on the Cocaine.. just me?

If you're retreating Neo Nazis you're either A) A neo nazi yourself or B) So damn stupid that your position as a member of government should be taken away because you have shown too much ignorance to be trusted with representing or leading normal people.

This is a congressman who has a history of saying bigoted & racist things.

If bacon didn't care about all of that before, why care about his neo-nazi sympathizing tendencies now? very sad, bacon.

You people expect bacon to have standards. He has none of that.
I told you he will defend any and all shit from Republicans. He is incapable of having independent thought process. He is too deep in tribalism.

Sad because when I first joined about the same time as him back in the day yeah he was a Republican back then but he had standards. Now he's so far gone that Believe It! (Random far right nutter back then) seems more sane.

Um, no. There's a big difference between saying "neo nazism is okay" and saying "a retweet that has nothing to do with the guy being a neo nazi is not worth a news article".

I meannnnnn saying "[sic]65% of Italians oppose immigration. Europe is waking up" sounds little neo-nazi-ish.

I actually agree with Bacon. The notion that retweeting an article is akin to supporting the original user's views is ridiculous.

Steve King is an idiot for plenty of other reasons. No need to reach on this one.

No it isn't. Unless you state when you make the link that you're disagreeing with it you are inherently supporting the person who put up the article and the article itself. It's basically how social media has been since day 1 of it. No one posts shit from people or articles they don't agree with without a comment.

The latter, yes. The former, no. The article is about losing support for mass immigration, something Steve King is obviously happy about. Equating that with supporting nazis because someone completely unrelated to the article posted it is absurd.

By your logic, my agreeing with Bacon on this singular issue also mandates that I specify all the issues I don't agree with him on, lest I be accused of holding the same views as him. The notion that agreeing on one point is somehow a comprehensive agreement on unrelated issues is just employing a ridiculous us vs them mentality.
