I'm talking about certain two techs for which you have to pay the ultimate price.

First one is the Death Reaper Seal. When Orochimaru was invading Konoha, Hiruzen said that he will have to use Minato's jutsu which suggests that Minato is the one from who Sarutobi picked up the tech. When he actually used the thing he saw the Reaper for the first time which again suggests that was the first time he used the jutsu?

So how does the learning process here go? Teacher tells the student what signs to use, explains how it works and student masters it with no training whatsoever? On the first try. Easy.

    Second, obvuously, the Gates.

Opening the eight gate, results in death. So how does one learn Evening Elephant and Night Gai? What, somebody explains to you what needs to be done and you just do it on the first try? And perfectly?

It comes naturally to the learner. Just like Sasuke used Ameno perfectly in his first try.

    Just that

The student is told everything the technique entails and can practice the technique to a degree via study and executing the seals without actually going through with the jutsu.

With RDS, id also view it more as the Reaper doing most of the work anyway, it IS sometimes referred to as a type of Summoning after all.

Basically all the user does is pay the toll, then the reaper reaps.
Well Lee knew what Sekizo was and what the technique entailed, as he was able to recognize that Gai didnt complete the technique on the first try due to the immense pain he was experiencing. Id imagine one preps for the 8th gate simply by going through the motions in lower forms.

Gai likely trained to execute Yagai and Sekizo in base or his lower forms and Lee was around to witness said training at least once based on the fact he recognized Sekizo.

    This didnt happen

Sasuke outright states hes learning as he goes with the Rinnegan

A fact confirmed by MULTIPLE people

Reaper Death Seal is just a matter of knowing the correct seals and procedure; it doesn't require practice.

8th Gate techniques can be practiced using lower gates, but obviously with lower effectivity.
