And who is the strongest opponent he could defeat and/or match.
Who is Kabito?
He sucks. That is all.
Think it's a pokemon
You were all useless.
I mean Kibito sorry haha.
Gohan said he would have trouble fighting him in base under tournament rules, so take that as you will
He is much weaker than Buu Arc Base Gohan
Because he was mysterious and looked powerful, not because he could sense his Ki which he couldn't.
Turns out Kibito couldn't even hold the Z-Sword, something Base Gohan had no trouble doing.
Well, Shin is physically weaker (Yuki - "Courage") than SS Gohan (seeing as how he couldn't remove the Z Sword), but he's spiritually stronger (Genki - "Spirit" and Shoki - "Mind") than SS2 Gohan (he uses his Ki to restrain him in the Tenkaichi Budokai). Since it took him a while to replenish base Gohan's energy and he also was unable to remove the Z Sword, I see Kibito as being the same concept as Shin in that he's physically weaker than SS Gohan, but stronger than Gohan spiritually (though, he pales in comparison to Shin in regards to the spiritual aspect)
He's completely irrelevant as far as the Buu arc's scaling is concerned. Weaker than Base Gohan who is the weakest of the adult Saiyans.
Even PuiPui beats him.
One-shotted effortlessly by a heavily suppressed Dabura who’s relative in strength to Perfect Cell. I think that puts him below FPSSJ Goku. Maybe talking Semi-Perfect Cell or possibly Super Vegeta levels...
What? Kibito is nowhere near that strong.
How would Kibito fare against say, Android Saga SSJ Vegeta?
Cryorex give me a disagree for saying that Kibito is much weaker than Base Gohan, even though we have seen that in the manga.
True. He was definitely weaker than Gohan in his base state if you scale purely by the lifting of the Z-Sword. But that really doesn’t make sense since Shin couldn’t lift it either, yet he was stronger than Freeza who should be above the Saiyans in their base state according to Beerus...
He was referring to 1st form Frieza
Shin couldn’t pull it out. Nothing about lifting it. He didn’t even try to wield it.
The powerscaling could be atrocious at times. How could I take my man Beerus seriously after seeing Goku hand back the Z-Sword with one hand while in his normal state. Damn, Toriyama...
Daizenshuu confirms it I think
Gohan must really suck ass at fighting if he’d struggle with a guy way weaker than him under tournament rules, although his fight with Krillin in DBS should show that when he’s rusty he’s really not good
Kibito is weaker but isn't much weaker than Base Buu Saga Gohan.
Gohan struggled with the sword too. Kibito thought Gohan was just being a chump and didn't expect it to be that heavy.
It took Gohan a while to train enough to swing it around. Goku struggled with it too until he got his bearings (which was a lot faster than Gohan).
Also, it's true that Dabura killed Kibito but it's hard to say what level he was surpressed to. Also, IIRC Vegeta of all people actually said that Kibito was just caught off guard or careless (implying he should have been able to escape that) and the spit isn't a conventional attack.
WoG doesn't contradict what we saw, so I'd say it's probably correct.
Gohan struggled just a bit. Kibito couldn’t even budge it. He’s way below Gohan. Not just "not by much".
Rewatching it, Kibito couldn't even lift it at all so I guess that is a significant difference by that point.
This was after Supreme Kai and Gohan vs Buu and Babidi though when Gohan seem to get back into the swing of things and comparable to Cell Saga strength
Gohan thought he needed SSJ to fight Kibito and WoG on it agreed, so I'd take that to mean that Gohan at the tournament wasn't much above Kibito but he was well past him in Base by the the time they got to Supreme Kai's planet.
Gohan’s battle senses were also said to have dulled and they made it clear nobody could feel Kibito or Shin’s Ki. He was just going off Kibito’s godly disposition, not his Ki.
Tbf, Gohan got accustomed with the Z-Sword using SSJ first. I think that’s how he got started since it shows him as a SSJ when Goku went SSJ3 for the first time. After a few off-balanced situations, he started getting used to and finally wielding it easily in base showing his rapid growth...
I know this but Kibito with all his might struggling like a madman couldn’t even move it a millimeter.
Gohan was beaten to near death by Buu tbh, maybe he got a zenkai after he recovered?
