    Very cool. Now all they need to do is make it to where OLEDs last a bit longer, because last time I heard about the tech it had a hard time lasting long enough to meet people's expectations of how long a screen should last.

    Maybe that's changed since I last read about it (about a year ago), so if it has, please explain.

    when the technology has matured to production stage then they will start building monitors and hooking up inputs too it...as it is right now they are pretty much just feeding boxed signals to them.

    why is it a waste? space is limited in cities and apartments and population icreases. so when you make things so small then space is not a cocern since you can put that on your wall as a wallpaper.

    so did LCDs when they came out and DVD players and basically any new technology...technology does not appear overnight folks...it is developed over years and usually it does cost a ton when it first comes out.

    Great, just when I was finally planning on getting a hdtv :notrust. Oh well, this stuff probably won't be available to consumers for a couple years.

    well you have OLED and Laser technology being developed..but as already stated they are several years away from production and they will be very expensive when they first come out...then they are also researching resolutions higher than 1080p
