As men as Haku. In japanese he refers to himself with male pronouns.

Deidara is a guy. Believe it!
We don't know this for sure...but most Naruto fans think he's a guy.
    So there you have it.

So far as I've seen, there's no clear indication in the manga. Just because a character uses masculine pronouns doesn't mean they're a male; most "tomboy" characters refer to themselves as "ore" or "boku" even though they're female. I'd say it's unclear at this point.

Personally, I hope Deidara's female. There are just too few female characters in the series. And the good female characters that do exist don't get enough exposure in the story, in my opinion.

He's a pretty male, aka bishounen. The most common thing in the anime, every anime and manga has atleast one or two .... even Naruto already had Haku and Yashamaru.

So, he's a male. And if you're looking for evidence, his speech is masculine, he's referred as him, doesnt have even a decent cleavage at all... etc.

Deidara i believe is a guy. but without proof i can't say for certain but i hope his a guy. The manga just make him to guyish to not be and i know he could be tomboy but for me Deidara is a guy... i hope it stays that way

Deidara's a guy. He talks in the anime (episode 135), and his voice is WAY deep. There is no way that could come out of a girl!

There was a thread about the exact same thing not too long ago, Deidara's a guy, just with a very youthful appearance. He doesn't look all that effeminate to me, at least compared to Haku and Yashamaru.

There's a major problem with this logic. "She" and "he" aren't in the original Japanese text. When you read scanlations and they refer to Deidara as "she" or "he," that's based on the preference of the translator. In fact, I believe in most or all of these situations the Japanese term used is "anohito" ... which literally means "that person." You see, the Japanese is gender-neutral, which is why the whole debate exists in the first place.

He's a guy. :p He's usually not really all that feminine at all, though the debate is amusing.

I wish the voice they'd chosen for him in the manga wasn't so deep though. It doesn't fit. >_<

    Spoiler:
Bluehair is going to be a girl, ne?

Male. Deep voice, male pronouns, flat chest, Kishimoto's history of making feminine- looking men, everything that has already been listed indicating that he is male...
