I don't remember any characer saying this in the manga and anime, but can you sign more than 1 summoning contract?

Where I'm getting at is since Naruto has Kyuubi, and them blending their chakra together well as time progress. What if Naruto can summon the Sanin's summon animals at once? Imagine, Gamma, Manda, Slug (4get her name) at once = PWNED!

I don't think that should be any problem if you have enough chakra and can control it well enough. It is all about the contract between the creature and the summoner. Without a deal no creature

The summon animals have their own personalities so I am sure they are exclusive and wouldn't obey someone who has a contract with another "animal".
However it's possible to summon several animals of the same kind as we saw with Kakashi or Naruto.
And the giant summons are already exaggerated enough so no need to overpower even more.

During the fight with kakashi and Zabuza Kakashi summoned several of his dogs.
I don't think Naruto ever summoned more then one frog at one time. When fighting Gaara he did summon one, then later he summoned Gama-bunta while the first was still around.
Summonings require contracts with the animals... so it all depends on how the contracts are worded :p

If Naruto can summon that frog that Jiraiya summoned that owned Ebisu(sp?), and *note* he's s'ppose to be an elite jounin. Imagine what ^ said with those clones

the big problem is that when you summon a character you waste almost all your chakra...and i couldnt see all summons fighting together at once...it would be wierd and confusing...they might strike each other cause they are so big...and what could be so powerful(except kyuubi)that could require anyone to use more than one summon?

Since we're talking about Naruto, chakra isn't a big deal. Only thing i can agree on is that once "they" as in different kind of summons are summoned.

It's evident that the summoners doesn't necessarily have total control over the summons. However, I'm sure later on we'll see new summons that have the decent respect to the summoner, when that does happen, anything can happen with Naruto

I dont know about summoning more than one type of creature but we have seen that more than one of the same can be summoned.

well, a summon only wastes most of the chakra when its one of the bigger ones, like gamabunta, but he can probably summon a bunch of small and medium ones if naruto had the charkra control, which he doesnt

I can see summoning more than one of a single type of animal like Kakashi does, but I can't see summoning creatures of different types. I think of the summoning contract to be rather exclusive, not something you can simply go around and collect.

The only exception to this is that, by the end, I think Naruto will be able to summon a weakened (say, Gamabunta-level) version of Kyuubi out of himself, and Gaara might be able to do something similar with Shukaku.

Can't you see Naruto standing on top of the Kyuubi, staring down the series' final bad guy?

There's nothing that says a nin cannot sign his name on more than one type of animal summon.

So, it's entirely possible to summon a mid-level toad and a mid-level snake successively, provided you have enough chakra (and know the seals) to do so.

Did Jiraiya not summon 2 Frogs?

The Son of Gamabunta and Gamabunta Himself? in the Sannin Fight?

Or was that Filler of the Anime?

I also assume it is possible, but I also think it would never happen. It is a simple matter of the creature's personalities clashing as well as the amount of chakra involved (always was impressed that Kabuto was able to assist in the summoning of Manda o.O;).

I don't think summoning gamabunta, manda, and the slug would result in pwnage...Manda would try to eat the other 2.

At the same time no, but i think that they can. For some reason i remember Naruto summoning a little toad then gamabunta.

But for relationship/symbolism purposes i dont think anyone has a contract with all three slug, snake, and toad... They all most likely not get along...

    I suppose it's theoretically possible.

But toads and snakes? I'm betting that one would /not/ work out for the summoner. At all.

lol people, check the date of the OP.

Since then we've seen Oro summon 3 Rashamon gates using blood, so it should be logical to assume there can be multiple contracts.
