i have a strange relationship with pop music in that I know there is potential for great sounds there, it’s just buried under a metric fuckton of mediocre and generic tweenbait. Pop fans, recommend me some worthy pop albums. For regular pop, this is the standard I’m setting for you guys:

Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 The Complete Experience

Something in the vain of that.

Alright now subgenres. I enjoy dreampop, so if anyone wants to recommend me something like Beach House

I think you guys will have an easier time recommending dreampop because releases are generally of a higher quality on average than vanilla pop.

    Also been digging experimental lately

ive never really paid any attention to beach house so dont think im taking the piss with any of these reccs (i mean, i do characterise all the releases ive named as "dreamy" but from outside the realm of genre nitpickery at least).

*malory (basically anything of theirs outside of outerbeats)
    *the autumns (namely angel pool)
    *air formation (namely daylight storms)
    *slowdive (entire discog ofc)
    *meeks (beatless)
*the daysleepers (everything apart from creation)
    *good night & good morning
*should (feed like fishes and a folding sieve)
    *stella luna

I forgot to mention Biru Baby, but probably because I expect you to hate them. Their latest album, Ancient Call, is my most played album in 2018 and a serious AOTY-contender as far as my taste goes. Electro-punk? Electro-pop? I'm not really sure where to place them as they're a bit all over the place, but always in the landscape of electronic pop-punk or something. The Prodigy meets Die Antwoord or something with a very poor English pronunciation. You can easily hear that they are from Norway.
Brilliant live band too, and they got some damn cool music videos, and I don't care about music videos at all for most part. But I've seen the majority of the music videos for the new album tons of times.

Far from the stuff in the OP, but I had to throw this out here because I haven't been able to stop playing this since it was released in Mars. Played it 15-20 times a week since then, and I am not bored of it at all.

I've never actually talked to anyone who likes this band tho. An acquired taste maybe?

I could only recommend you mainstream pop music, though i could also show you some other genres i've been listening to, maybe it'll get you interested? I generally got a bit bored of pop/mainstream a while ago and found a nice promotion channel on YT.

(recent stuff i've been listening to)

Oh, first one took me a few tries, didn't like it when i listenend to it the first few times, haha. Anyways, i think most remixes of the daft punk song are great, in that one i really like the part at 3:00, though it's an overall nice song!

Hmmmm... i think i got nothing close to Justin Tiberlakes songs, guess his music is rather unique :catthinks

Though i have a remix of a popular song (at least over here it was pupolar)

and a song that was the trailer music of Sucker Punch (skip to like 40 sec. ) :

(idk if you have/know/like that song already)

Oh, haven't heard that one yet, only checking xKito's channel every now and then (and click videos when they have a nice pic :dead )

    That song sounds catchy, haha.
btw catchy: I checked this a few days ago because the band/singer name sounded familiar, it also has a catchy melody:

And remembered afterwards that I had this song a few months ago on repeat:
