Nice and simple :) it just needs a quick fix:magic wand the outer blank part and cut the color to get transparency. remember to save as a .png ;)

Not sure if you did the transparency thing yet (or it could just be my computer), but that would be great for your sig. Everything else is great. You did an excelent job of getting the background to flow with the stock image. As for the image itself, is the characture supposed to be somewhat "creepy" looking. Those eyes to me have a very sadistic look to them (as in, "2 a : delight in cruelty b : excessive cruelty"). But in short, I like it alot 9/10.

yeah, you saved it as a .gif which is only transparent on IE. .PNG is transparent in all browsers. Thats my suggestion. Resave it as a .PNG.

You resaved it as a png but u didnt magic wand the white part to take out the color and leave it transparent :) everything else is great. And yes that is what i meant. You can just hit backspace to get rid of the white selection but to minimize the image size i usually do this:

    -magic wand the white part
-with the magic wand tool, right click the white selection
    -select "invert selection"
    -hit control+c
-make a new document (it should have the size equal to the maximum wide and high) and select the background to be "transparent"
    -paste
    -save as a png

    Youre done.

That's the hard way, I do it like:

    1. Make two layers (of your sig).
    2. On the top layer use the magic wand tool on the white part.
    3. Erase. (The magic wand tool will make it so it only erases the white.)
    4. Delete the bottom layer. (The layer you did not erase on.)
    5. Save as a PNG.

Ok, it might not be any easier...Maybe it is just me.
