Yeah, I know - weird. Me and a friend were having a discussion, and the RosaRubicon track of Renji's BleachBeat Collection kept popping up. (it was an odd discussion)

I'd said the only thing that made that track was the mental image of Renji with a microphone, moshing on a stage doing his best metal impression. It made me smile.

Anyway, the topic ran around to wondering what REAL J-Metal sounded like.

I did the obvious Google search, and came up with a couple of lists of possible names.

    Click
    Pink Mr.WTF

But no download samples. I'm really intersted in hearing the harder side of Japan, so if anyone could give me a hand... hell it might be educational for us all! :laugh

(kindly note, my mac hates 'torrent.)

    Sigh.

Oh yes. There is no competition :)

I don't know about getting Sigh without Torrents, but the official Sigh forum has a few tracks for download I believe.

Thank you Joe! (listening now - so far it seems pretty tame, but cool) :laugh

And if anyone can actually hook me up with some Sigh, that'd be cool. My computer is kind of limited when it comes to different ways of downloading. I'm a bit out of my league there.

Ruins isn't metal, but they're definitely my favorite Japanese band. They're also one of the weirdest bands I've ever heard. If you wish, I can arrange an introduction.

Well, sure! I like weird stuff. :laugh

I've stayed away from the J-music industry entirely because of my loathing of Pop in any media, and that's what get's hyped. But it seems that my plan backfired on me when I recently realized I was missing out on all the other Genres. *kicks self*

Cata?, I want some Sigh too. I just got Imaginary Sonicscape from you earlier but I want to hear more :)

I heard Ruins on last.fm radio. They are also a cool band. The most unusual band I've heard must be Melt-Banana. Omg do they rule!!

Say, now there's a thought. I should check out some of the net radio stations to see if any of them play what I'm looking for... then I'd have a better idea what the heck I 'like'.

Ah, but is that because I'm a lovable person and I request strange things, or was that for burdening you with the mental image of Renji doing metal at karaoke night..... :laugh

Want to be nice to me? Find me some specific links. PM me if needed. I'm lost trying to look for it. I did a google on sigh, and came up with a bunch of strange things, but no samples. Bleh.
