No, studio reception, reputation, a well made film = film's success.

I still see you can't differentiate between the two mediums.

I don't give a fuck about her appeal and frankly no one else will either, I will still watch the film because I have trust in the MCU to make a good film. That's all it is. Do you get it? Comic books, films, two different things :lmao

End result is: What matters is the actions of the hero, not what their race and sex is :giogio

I don't know a single super hero the same race as me and I couldn't care less if I ever get one. People acting like people REQUIRE heroes of their race/sex only further pushes the idea that those things are more important than the contents of the person's personality and actions :lmao

I guess I agree with this.

I still think Marvel Studios can fix the shit Marvel Comics has been doing, tho.

They can fix it by capitalizing on the characters people like.

The only people who can fix Marvel comics is Marvel comics and Big Papa Disney.

    > Still thinking comic book reception is going to make a difference to an MCU film catered to the overwhelming majority who don't read comic books and won't give a fuck if a character has a bad run or not

    This is why you're dumb.

You just don't understand something so simple.

    >Thinking the very common reaction and opinion of a character doesn't matter cause comics

Seeing as movie people have liked the same ones the comic fans have, seeing as they're all people, it's safe to assume most people won't like Captain Marvel. There's nothing to like about some big grouch bitch who acts like she has to be in charge of everything.

Yeah it doesn't. It matters in the comic book world. Not the films which is a different entity. How are you not getting this? Were you dropped on the head when you were a kid?

Actually, no. A lot of the MCU characters are different from their comic book versions, certainly by their personality wise. Tony was never loved by people who read the comics, in fact he was outright hated by some because of Civil War but people love him in the films. Dr Strange was p bland in the comics but Cumberbatch as Strange made him a star to me. So no.

Don't pretend like everyone was raving about these characters in the comic book world :lmao plz, it was either Spidey or the X-Men who were the standouts.

You haven't even seen the film yet. You just hate Captain Marvel so you think the film's going to be rubbish when you don't factor in MCU mainly does its own thing in its own universe.

And Captain Marvel barely ever appears nor mentioned in the books. She took her old name..so what?
And like hundreds of other science fiction movies that has to do with aliens and humans..
Spiderman had like a 5 decade head start.

All Miss Marvel does is obsess over Captain Marvel. She crippled her childhood friend and spent the whole time in the hospital hoping Carol wouldn't be mad at her for it.

    >Military pilot who gets powers from dying alien
    >Common thing in sci fi

    Okay.

Kamala Kahn is just a shitty Mary Sue. Peter spent years trying to get into the Avengers but didn't get in cause he was a kid, yet 15 year old Kamala Kahn gets welcomed in from the start.

Someone with lesser powers and no feats of worth to make her Avengers worthy... Who then quit and made her own group of losers because of a food truck :lmao

No, it matters from the fact the customers don't like it. Why would the movie people want a character people find boring and annoying?

People have loved Iron Man for decades

    Lolwut

Until anything comes out to change my mind about the movie I will assume an adaptation of garbage is garbage.

Damn me for having a negative opinion about something.
