His Haki isn't enough to stand up against Block Mochi unless he's using G4, WB would literally shatter Luffy's arms with the gura.

Luffy needs much better COA before he can compete with the likes of WB and Akainu.

His KKG easily is on the same level as the island splitter in terms of aoe damage and far above the first punch that hit Akainu.

Also WB had nerfed haki that entire arc. From not being able to hit Aokiji to not being able to use CoC to save Ace. You're talking like his haki was at WSM levels.

The relevant questions here are can Luffy hit Akainu? yes because he has future sight. Does G4 hurt? Yes, the damage is comparable to nearly anything you can bring to the table in terms of sheer force applied.

:mjlol You can't seriously believe this shit.

Haki wasn't nerfed when he was bloodlusted.

Rice vs the power to destroy the world. What do you think?

    Akainu mid-diff.

His endurance and durability alone is still far superior to Luffy’s, which will be the main factor here, between 2 brawler types. Marineford was basically a parade to showcase how much of a tank he is, plowing through a gauntlet of high tier opponents like they were nothing, before clashing with near Admiral level opponents as well...all this after taking WB’s quake punches to his head & body, both of which would’ve sent Luffy into a coma if they connected. Akainu has arguably the most impressive feats of endurance in the series behind Whitebeard himself.

Factor in how dangerous his devil fruit is, and the sheer amount of hits he can take before even taking a step back, Luffy is completely outclassed.

Hell, I don’t think current Luffy is anywhere close to being able to accomplish what Akainu showed in Marineford or Punk Hazard. Being able to change the weather of an island while beating another Admiral after 10 days of non stop fighting?? Being able to negate the attacks of 2 Yonko commanders simultaneously while expressing annoyance?? Being able to send Ace, Jinbei, Ivankov, and countless other commanders flying back while going on a rampage...Hell, even being able to block Whitebeard’s quake-imbued bisento with his fucking foot and take him on while he was still relatively less injured.....yeah, i have a hard time picturing Luffy pull any of that off. Luffy still can’t hang with the absolute strongest fighters in the world, one on one. And a bloodlusted Akainu is right near the top of that list.

If you asked me by the end of Dressrosa I'd say Luffy could give an admiral mid diff. But his gains since then have been rather impressive for one full sized arc, so I'd say it's not a stretch for him to give one high difficulty now. Not Akainu though. That guy's durability and damage output are just insane, and he's the Fleet Admiral for a reason. Let's say mid-high.

After the way Luffy vs Katakuri was portrayed, I think it's clear that Oda wants us to see Luffy as very, very strong now. We're really not that far from the endgame anymore...

Akainu is one of the absolute strongest though.

I'll say our lovable Fleet Admiral wins with higher end of mid difficulty for now.
