V1 Eī. He's already on par with him in speed and the fact he could resist Chidori (something that could go through even the most tenacious rocks, and were a threat to Kaguya.) should mean he'd resist Hirudora.

A can tank or dodge whatever Gai throws at him and A has the stamina to outlast Gai along side the speed to keep pace with Gai. It's just a matter of time before Gai loses due to the wear and tear of the gates and due to A's heavy strikes causing quite a bit of damage

Chidori went knuckle deep inside his cloak and Gai can destroy the most tenacious rocks so that's irrelevant.
Chidori was a threat to Kaguya? When? She immortal you idiot and on top of that it'd be a Post Rikoudou amped Chidori which dosen't apply to the feat it had against A4.

Gai beats the stuffing out of him.....he needs v2 to handle gai. V1 eis speed was casually outmanoeuvred by 3tomtoe sharingan sasuke and a clean hit was landed in exchange. 7gate gai easily beats 3tomtoe sasuke in cqc skill and speed. Second gais movements in 7gate gai were easily portrayed above v1 ei.

Lastly a lariat by base bee blew the raiton armour off v2 ei ,the blunt force of hirudora far surpasses that.

Once gai goes 7th gate he wins but I'm not sure he will get there in time before A takes him out.

lol 6th or 7th Gated Gai beats this poser meathead with his fists alone.

A needs V2 to keep up with 7G Gai, let alone pose a threat to him.

A is good and all but he needs to engage in CQC if he wants to threaten Gai. Given his limited WWE like moveset vs a true martial artist with matching power, he is going to get ragdolled like he never has before.

Ae needs v2 to keep up with 7g gai and tag him. If Suigetsu and juugo can physically react to v1 ae then Gai has no problem. And Gai is the best taijutsu user ever so trying taijutsu on him is like trying genjutsu on an MS user, very unlikely to succeed. Gai can beat him with his fists if he goes to higher gates and if push comes to shove he can use his Hirudora to put him down to deliver the final blow.

It comes down to how well Ei can endure Gai’s Gated attacks.

More or less what Bonly said, i roll with that. Gai can hold him back surely, but his hits will have no huge effect on him, considered they failed to kill Kisame, someone whose durability is far below A's. Eventually Gai gets outlasted.

Hirudora failing to kill Kisame isn't really an anti feat though right? The whole point was to Kisame not outright kill him.

Im not talking about Hirudora, sorry i didnt make myself clear. In 6 gates, Gai kicked Kisame with intent to kill and it wasn't enough, and thought it was better to use his strongest move avaible to kill him. Im not sure if the jump in power from the sixth to the seventh gate is enough to allow him to kill A, who's much more durable than Kisame.
