    Hashirama is portrayed superior.

That said, the two would have a big fight. I see Minato capable of destroying or tanking whatever Mokuton Ninjutsu Hashi would muster out until Shinsusenju comes up and Chojo Kebutsu obliterates Minato.

SM Hashirama > BM Minato > base Hashirama >>> base Minato IMO.

If Minato doesn't want to get hit, he's not going to get hit - provided that he concentrate solely on evasion.

Problem is, he can't win that way, nor can he close the distance without getting hit or ensnared in chakra-siphoning Mokuton. He'll need the avatar to inflict meaningful damage, which he loses speed in as well as become a bigger target - neither helpful against a guy who controls and attacks you with the entire battlefield.

BD will destroy Mokujin upon detonation, however once SS comes out...it's a wrap.

    Hashirama wins.

Minato loses once Hashirama goes SM and brings out the Shinsusenjuu.

Otherwise, BM Minato has the means to beat Base Hashirama.

Kurama avatar + Hiraishin + TBB to be face combo should do the job.

I believe minato can win in an extreme diff fight by warping shinsensenju away aka the juubis super juubidama which was several times larger then the juubi. He has all the tools to beat hashi and shinsensenju is the only majir threat and all he needs to do is send a clone at the start of the match to shunshin away to a distant location as he was able to blitz kurama from across konohas distance in an instant in bm a clone could make it hundreds of miles away in under a minute. The shinsenju is a massive target and once marked either by a kunai or a clone sacrifice to tag it it can be warped away.

Also the shinsensenjus travelling speed isnt close to bm minatos and he is easily capable of keeping distance via ftg using bm clones who will spread markers dozens of miles apart aka hokage barrier . He can also prep frog song while dodging and keeping distance warping between markers miles apart while placing new ones through clones while using kn amped frog song to win via distance, sound still reached hashirama ontop of ss even when him and madara on kyuubi sussano were far apart and sm and kn amped vocal attack will easily reach him.

Warping it away aka giant juubidama or avoiding it by keeping distance and prepping frog song is a pretty decent strategy.

BM Minato has a better shot than BM Naruto due to faster speed but I still see hashi eventually winning.

Hashirama has always been portrayed as the strongest character that hasn't been influenced by rikudou's chakra.
For Minato to stand a chance at beating hashirama he needs to have the bijuu mode for a very long time during the fight and considering first time users of this mode have a restriction of 5 minutes, he is not going to defeat hashirama in this time. Such a fight would be ongoing for way longer than 5 minutes, so unless minato is going to outright dominate hashirama and win within this time limit, he is losing and bare in mind that even in base hashirama still commands the stronger power output.

Finally, lets not forget that minato's new found power in a bijuu and its strongest technique a bijuu dama is nothing new to hashirama and neither is hiraishin.

Neither a bijuu nor hiraishin put madara or tobirama above hashirama.

This is also the very reason why i don't see either naruto defeating hashirama or madara also.

    Minato.

BM speed + FTG = Hashirama dies as soon as fight starts.

FTG barrier = Minato sends Hashi's wood constructs to another country.

TBB + FTG = Hashirama dies instantly because a Minato clone marked wood golem with FTG & Minato teleport his TBB straight to Hashi face.

You're saying like Minato can't activate FTG barrier while in Avatar.

Or he cant simply teleport SS.

    Correct.

Except SS or SM won't save him.

Since he can directly get a TBB dumped onto him anytime it does not matter where he is or what technique he is standing on.

Hashirama standing on Buddha can get a TBB dumped on him and that's it. In case of instant teleportation and explosion he can't shield himself and would die.

And because of the size of TBB, markings don't even have to be close. A mark 20 meters away from Hashirama will still result in TBB appearing next to him because of it's size.

On second thought, yeah, you're right.

Just as Naruto, Minato should be capable of giant TBBs as well as TBB barrages. And he can instantly blitz around Hashi and strike from multiple directions until he's dust.

The FGT is simply way too much of a hax boost.

Hashirama was clearly portrayed as the strongest of the Hokage even when Minato was Yin Kurama's jinchuriki. So Hashirama should be able to win although he'll have to fight seriously.

Minato uses clones to place markers dozens of miles apart as was the case for the Hokage barrier, where not even sensors detected his presence and he left the other hokage in the dust via his shunshin and this was in base. He sends one kcm clone to shunshin to a location hundred miles away.

The only thing that changes once sm comes out is shinsensenju which can still be teleported away via ftg barrier. It is an absolute giant target which can be marked via kunai or a clone sacrifice. Minato can warp it away same as the super juubidama which was multiple times the juubis size.

All minato needs to do is keep distance until a kn aamped frog song is complete which he can via ftg bm clones and markers placed miles apart. Once frog song is used its gg madaras voice reached hashirama ontop of ss when they were far apart a senjutsu sound technique sure will.

Hashi being the "strongest " is fine and all, but that doesn't mean he can beat anyone no matter the opposition.

Some hax he just can't counter, and they outdo him in vital areas.

It's a good battle because it's a good match up for Minato, but it's also a good match up for Hashirama.

    Minato's advantages:
    • There will be no Bunshin Feints for Hashirama, seeing as tagging the clone results in Hashirama himself being FTG blitzed directly after
    • Minato can warp away most of Hashirama's Mokuton techniques the moment they make contact with his avatar
    • Minato is considerably faster
    • Tagging the active Mokuton could allow Minato to connect with Hashirama and FTG Blitz him

    Hashirama's advantages:
    • Mokuton innately weakens bijuu power on contact
    • Wood Dragon can restrain & absorb Minato's Avatar if he doesn't warp it quickly
    • Deity Gates restrained the Juubi (superior bijuu entity) and are highly unpredictable (spawn from above the target)
    • Hashirama can redirect Bijuudama with Human, Buddha Arms & Rash Gates

In the end I give the advantage to Hashirama. He has such a vast arsenal at his disposal I think he eventually finds a way to pin the construct down through misdirection as the aggressor and get a hand on it with Buddha, which takes it out of the fight immediately (just as it took 100% Kurama out). The combination of deity gates, Wood Dragons & Buddha prancing around allows him to attack Minato from numerous angles until one of the attacks staggers his construct, and they all crash down on him to get rid of it. This is all aided by his Sage Mode which allows him to sense everything on the battlefield, including the location of Minato, so the defensive teleporting won't be as effective against him, as he will know where Minato is the moment he ports there, and he can set traps and lure him into teleporting into certain locations.

There's also the fact Hashirama can fight at a premium level for much longer than BM Minato due to the combination of his special cells and the vast chakra pool he possesses.

BM Minato has a Bijuu Mode with under a 10 minute limitation. Hashirama proved he can fight at the same level for much longer than that when he unleashed the full power of his 1,000 arms in a single attack, then fought for 23 hours after that.

He doesn't need to deplete his energy that quickly against this opponent when he needs only one arm to defeat the mode, not 1,000 simultaneously, merely pressuring him until he defeats BM or outlasting it due to the pressure will allow Hashirama the victory.

Minato gives him a bad day.

Hashirama can't really hit him and he will just be tagged soon anyway leaving him in bad positions.

Minato can wreck any thing Hashirama has in base easily with biju sized Rasengans and (likely) TBB.

If it comes down to CQC Minato has way better feats, attacks and defenses as well

Hashirama's last best hope is going to hit a giant barrier and wind up punching the Hell out of Hashirama himself.
Anything that Minato tags that has his chakra tags Hashirama as we see in the WA so there is no real way for Hashirama to avoid it.

    Minato high diff.

Can't Minato just FTG away? Before and after?
Can't he just FTG a TBB to Hashirama if he is marked?

Or vice versa like the Mutual Instantaneous revolving technique used on Jubito?

    Source?

It was mentioned like twice, and then never again, so clearly it still applies.

Especially since it was never mentioned in reference to Minato.
