"BUT ARE THERE FURRIES?" - My first thought when seeing the words, "A Mamoru Hosoda Filn"

Trailer answered that question well enough :hoho

I like how Shinkai is the background art porn and relationship issues guy, while Hosoda has fully embraced and established himself is the family and furries guy. Shinkai managed to take his thing and produce a landmark blockbuster and elevate himself above and beyond the also-rans of would-be Miyazaki successors. This looks like it's the typical strong, sincere and heartwarming Hosoda fair. Not saying that's bad or anything, but I don't see the potential for the Big Leap that Shinkai had here.

But I gotta say also tho, I think the Imouto from the future concept has the potential to be the next big niche :maybe :hmm

Saw this over the weekend with my fam. It was pretty entertaining to watch. Definitely a movie to see with family and friends to make it more enjoyable. Still doesn’t beat Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time for me though

Saw this on weekend with my gf. I was put off by the "supernatural" elements at first, but then realized it was all about the imagination of the little guy. His tantrums and adventure into the past made it a very entertaining movie. Will definitely watch with my parents when I get the chance. This movie will age well.

Also, I want to build that house!!
