Does the music you listen to reflect your personality and have your tastes in music changed over the past few years?

I think my music reflects my personality for the most part.
My music tastes have changed various amounts of times over my lifetime.

    Not really for me...

I listen to practically every genre.

    Except country music.

the thing is, I listen to any genre of music [except for country :laugh] so its hard to say that they reflect my personality. My taste of music is slowly changing I guess.

    I don't know. :oh
I listen to anything that sounds good. Of course I had my own preferences and it changes overtime but yea...I listen to anything I think that sounds good (my definition of good. :wink).

Isaldi, you barely know any country music artists. You don't know who Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Billy Currington, and Faith Hill's husband were, to name a few. >.>

And second, I'll answer my questions with a no and a yes.

I listen to rap and emo music, but it doesn't reflect me.

Does my love for Hip-Hop affect my mood? They say Hip-Hop is hooligan music, and some perceive me as a hooligan. So I guess it works.

I used to be a rapper, back then it was all about being cool.

Gradually I started to enjoy rock music, then when I started playing guitar I got heavily into Metal. I suppose listening to metal does affect my personallity in some ways, I tend to care more about social and political issues (the whole Master of Puppets thing) than I would 3 three years ago.

I also enjoy country style, I got a taste of that on Zakk Wylde's country album Book of Shadows.

I listen to everything almost. Most of my music expresses the way I see life itself instead of my personality.

if life is shit, they sing about life being shit :nod.

Because Brood and Lucero would simply make their minds explode. And that would just be messy.

I think that the music I listen to reflects on who I am at the time. I normally go through different phases in which I only listen to one particular artist. (In this case; I've been listening to Rush for the past month.)

I've gone from cynical to mocking the whole deal. Thus, I have ventured more into parodic music. Parody owns you.

I don't know how progressive music would reflect my personality, but that's a main chunk of what I listen to. It has changed drastically over the years, though, as I have.

First I didn't really listen to music, then it was sort of poppish stuff, but I still wasn't really into music. Then about 3 years ago, I got onto the Progressive music scene, and I fell in love with music. There's almost time of the day I'm not listening to it. Now, because of it, I've spend thousands of dollars over the years on over 100 orignal CDs. It's a curse.

It's not so much what you listen to as how you listen to it that shows your personality. My taste in music has changed a lot over the years and I hope it continues to change until the day I die.
