There's quite a story about The Last! It didn't come to Florida, so I bought tickets in the closest area--Virginia!! Talked my hubby into catching a flight for a one day trip to see it, turn around and come back home. A snow storm ensued while we were in the movie and we barely made it back to the airport because all of the cabs had quit for the day. Once we got to the airport, we found that our flight had been canceled due to the snow and we ended up spending half the night there until we caught a flight back to Florida! What an experience!!

To answer your question, I had my long suffering hubby (with no interest in anime) at my side in the movie, but it was the guy next to me with whom I had a great time since he was also a big Naruto fan (like everyone in the theater).

Heard the news that the movie is doing really well in US release. Made near 2 million dollars already in 2 days. Great.

Can't wait to actually watch it...when it's released online with good quality.

But also, I don't have friends to go see other movies with. Perpetually alone.

aw man, here's a hug :catsadfeels

Watching movies alone have their perks, you're basically more flexible without arranging a date to meet up with people. I like watching some movies alone because of that. :catroll

I've also dragged him along to several cons and to New York so that I could see Kishimoto at the NYCC!! He's a very good hubby! :love (of course, I have gone with him to his Las Vegas pool tournament as well).

Movie experience one day away!!!! :X3

Hehe, got a hug out of that little charade.

Nah, I usually do have friends to watch stuff with, but they're all gone right now :catcry

Which is a shame, cause I'm pretty sure I could have roped one of them into seeing the movie with me :catthinks

I don't think I've ever gone to see a movie alone. I usually have somebody I'm with, whether it be family or friends. Funnily enough, I like trying to coordinate this stuff with people, but maybe seeing this movie alone will be nice

Well, quid pro quo. I'm sure he just liked getting to be with you on your CC excursions.

But oh man, how was the NYCC?? That must have crazy cool. I've only been to one con myself and that was a relatively small one in Sacramento.

And your husband really has no interest in anime or manga? Aw man :catfarewell

    What about video games?

NYCC was huge! My entire interest was Kishimoto's appearance and it was a sell out with wall to wall people! Waited in line for better part of an hour to get in!

I've gone to several smaller cons. I actually led panels a couple of times--so much fun!! I'm always the oldest fan there, so I tend to garner some attention. :laugh

Hubby was never interested in comics, toons and the like (I always was). Of course, neither of us are the typical age of those who enjoy these things. I'm just an odd ball! (I always was :nuts)
Hubby plays pool. I don't care to play video games but I like to watch other folks play! Told you I was an odd ball! :grin

Really entertaining movie. Seeing it with an audience made it 10/10. That final fight against Wolfram had everyone hype. :bury That Double Detroit combo :obamabury

A lot of funny moments, sakuga, and Melissa is cool. :catblush Definitely worth seeing in theaters.

Just back from the movie! What a blast! The theater was full and everyone was hyped for the show! Had a Todoroki cosplay up front, too! Unfortunately poor hubby had a potty emergency and spent half of the movie in the men's room!:omg

Great movie! Pleased to see that DiD Melissa was two years older than Deku and not a harem girl! No BakuOcha moments either--he spent the entire movie with Kirishima! :nuts A nice peek into All Might/Toshinori's past and a great final face off with Wolfram (I actually once had a dog named Wolfram :laugh). Humor, some twists and turns in the plot and explosive action--couldn't ask for more! See--I didn't spoil a thing!! :foxpfft

had fun but also bothered by the loud teens. Some moments didn't need yelling.

Lots of people groaned of sadness when they heard melissa was 17

I'd give it a solid 8 simply because of the unnecessary but seemingly obligatory filler female DiD and the use of very effective tech (Deku's arm wrap gauntlet) that is never again seen. At least Melissa was not the typical DiD in that she wasn't harboring an interest in Deku, and the movie made an attempt to explain why the gauntlet was no longer being used.
