I rebooted my computer a few days ago and this means I need to reinstall my Scanner software. Unfortunately when I come across the disk I have not used in ages the thing is busted nearly into two halves. I don't know what to do now. Is there a way to install software from the internet or do I have to buy a new disc?

My scanner is an Epson Perfection 1260 Series/1660 Photo

I would really appreciate the help.

Well I downloaded that driver and unzipped all the contents like it said I should. But still when I try to operate my scanner I get a "Opening Registry Error" I can't put my mind around what that means.

Manuals are the most useless things ever. But anyway, it says nothing about this particular error so i'm still stumped

Well, they really aren't. Printers and scanners have particular installation instructions that need to be followed. If those instructions aren't followed then errors can occur. So my suggestion is to read over the install instructions and make certain you followed the steps.
