    Otherwise, National Novel Writing Month.

    It's time yet again.

Anyone else pulling the trigger on it this year? Prepping? Just diving in November 1st?

I'm trying to get @Atlantic Storm to do it with me, but that lazy goose probably won't.

    I didn't.

I'm a coward who got btfo'd by a dead laptop 20k words into it a few years ago and gave up.

Gonna give it the ol' college try this year, though.

I'm considering it. The main thing is to do an outline and remember quantity > quality. The idea is write, write, write. This is your first draft! And to give you guys an idea of how to do an Outline, here!

    Yeah.

It's about forming habits and learning how to focus on writing; the numbers and timelines are arbitrary. You can set whatever goals you like within that, because it's just to help you learn to avoid distractions and to simply write. Coming back later to trim the fat is the real hard part.

And if you write 1,667 words per day (which is easier than most people think) it's not difficult to accomplish. Of course, it's better to write 2,000 words per day. That requires only 25 days with 5 to spare, so you can be finished right around Black Friday!
