They need another movie to boost interest in the manga.

I'd watch it if Sasuke was in it

We need a time skip movie.

I don't think I can stomach another T7 filler movie. Given how many "Part 1" filler arcs we have now

Imagine another Boruto movie about a villain we didn't know about who dies to a rasengan.

Plz kill me right now :Mshad

Not sure from which chapter volume 7 starts and ends. @indrasarrow any idea ?

If the volume does not include chapter 30 onwards then maybe next volume the sales will increase due to the Naruto fight. Hopefully :pepethink

If anything, it will decrease lol. There's been a sharp decline in quality from chapter 30 onwards.

I would say the decline started at chapter 21, it's just picked up pace now.

Are you suggesting that they should overtly get rid of Boruto and reintroduce the old gen to increase sales?

I'm finding it hard to believe somebody would sell Bolt. It's even harder to imagine there are people who would buy it.

Nope, one thing the next volume will have over the previous volumes is that Naruto will be appearing a lot and we will get a high class fight(which had been lacking) a lot involving Naruto. Just look at the recent activity spike and interest in Boruto due to the latest chapters, it was because we finally get the chance to see how well Naruto will fare against the antagonists of this manga.

Mixing old gen with new gen characters every arc will hopefully increase the sales, getting rid of new gen is not possible as this is their show.

By get rid of, I was asking if they should stop or decrease the focus on Boruto? I think the lack of development of others may be impacting sales. Naruto having a battle has peaked interest from the old and new fans. The new gen don't have power scaling to match the old gen, mixing them in would require high level ass pulls and free powers, which Boruto's getting even if the others aren't. I think that would ultimately have a negative impact on the story telling and ultimately the sales.

If they want to add the old gen in thwn they should leave the big fish for old gen and let the knew gen tag along fighting small fries. They can still maintain half decent story telling.

When I said mixing new gen and old gen, I was not referring to fights but panel time. Like before the Naruto match against delta, he was getting focus with Kawaki and appearing every chapter since Kawaki came to Konoha, that’s what am talking about. Involving new gen in old gen fights will be bad writing except if they are serving as support.

They can’t reduce the focus of Boruto as he is needed to move the plot forward, him and Kawaki are the ones that can move the plot forward, what they can do is give panel time equal to the ones Boruto and Kawaki are getting to old gen.

Panel time alone won't cut it, this may be a temporary spike, I see the future becoming bleak. By involving them I meant the old gen take the inners while the new gen take on the outers. I doubt every inner will be fighting alone, I'm sure subordinated will also play a part in future battles if the manga isn't cancelled.

You don't necessarily need Boruto focus to move the plot forward, the plot is dictated by the writer. If the writer decides to change course or focus on other areas to move the manga forward they can. We'll see where it goes, if it's not cancelled.

Zef please. SP/production committee denied Kishi of a Sasuke film when Naruto was near its prime. Kishi had to write Sasuke as Bort's sensei just to have him front and center and you think a Bort movie with no Kishi is going to give Sasuke something worthy.

Besides it will flop just like most things associated with Boruto :mjlol

    :sauceskully

    Previous things Bort fans wished:

    - sales will increase when the movie recap is over
    - sales will increase when we get into the new arc
    - sales will increase when Kawaki appears

All those things would increase sales. The question is if it's enough that it matters.

It's much harder to win a customer than it is to lose one :blobcatjuice

Volume sales will eventually stagnate and maybe, at some point afterwards, they'll slowly increase. Character X appearing or Story Y happening isn't going to be the magical turnaround some people expect it to be.

I'm quite sure that sales will decrease in the next volume (if it includes the Naruto vs Delta fight) because of the blatant PIS and CIS currently going on in the manga. It's really bad writing. And it's happening to the previous main character, of all things.

They clearly understimated this. Not that it was the best idea to make Boruto, at least immediately after Naruto in the first place. But precisely because of that they shouldn't have understimated this.

As for old vs new gen. I'd like to say they should try to go a DBZ route and have old and new gen working together as one same thing, but DBZ and Naruto's circumstances are quite different so it may not be possible to that with Boruto.

I wonder what could change it.

A new guy that is actually very talented at drawing?

A completely different plot and maybe themes?

    A different main character/s?

    Just making it weekly?

Or did the Naruto franchise simply "burned out" for most readers and needs some "cooldown" like it happened with Dragon Ball?

Should've did a cool down and kept the main focus on the old-gen with the new gen incorporated.
