Im not sure if this is a spoiler or not but is viz gonna dub the naruto movie? cause that would be awsome. And also is it gonna be in theaters cause like the only animes to hit theaters in the U.S is like spirited away, pokemon, and princess mononoke and some others.

From what I know, viz will dub the naruto movie, and will be sometime around episode 70 appears, since that's when they showed the movie in japan. I dont think it will be in the movie theaters, but if it's popular enough it might.

Viz doesen't releace movies exactually as timelines in Japan went, such as Inuyasha Movie 4 was releaced before Inuyasha got his Tensaiga crystallized.

As for it apeparing theaters, I doubt it since not many theaters decide to allow an anime series to show a movie their... just think of Inuyasha movies they were good and all but they only appeared on DVD only.

Seeinh as how popular naruto is here America Viz is will almost definetly dub it. But i highly doubt it will be released in theaters probably will just air on CN several times.

Pokemon movies are badically released in theatres because the episodes released in Japan are not to far off from the ones released here. Since the Naruto episodes will probably take quite some time to reach the right amount of episodes, it most likely wont be released on the big screen. It will definitely be on DVD though.

I've seen the Naruto movie 1 and 2 and perosnally, I think they are no where near as good as the episodes, I saw them in Japanese as well and read the subitles coz I heard that it's not very good when it's dubbed.

Pokemon was lucky enough to get a releace back then, now it's rare to see any anime in theaters.

I doubt they'll release it in theaters. It would be completely awesome, but would probably never happen.
Either way, we still have like a year...timeline-wise, it should be released around episode 100....

Probably won't be in theaters. Dubbed? Sure.

It would be stupid to release the movie before
    Spoiler: not even a spoiler
    episode 100.

It would make a little more sense (if they released the dvd early) to show the movie on CN after
    Spoiler: note even a spoiler
    episode 100.

    Because
    Spoiler: not even a spoiler
it goes with that current story arc the best.. *hint*

Correct. There are only two small-ish parts of the movie that make it so it should be around episode 100, but...well, everyone who's seen it knows what I'm talking about. =3
I actually wouldn't be surprised if Viz released it early, though...they're doing that with the Uzumaki Chronicles video game, which takes place around the same time as the first movie, and Uzumaki Chronicles has even more spoilers. *shrug*

Yah. I'd give it till episode 100 before they release a movie. Would be cool if they did though. Still... He has to
Spoilers for all you Dub-Only peoples out there
    Spoiler:
    -sorry, no spoilers allowed- Splintered

Before they release it. Still. Even being fillers. The first two movies were good. Shallow plot but good action.

Naruto's insanely popular in the US. You can count on it.

Though, it won't be out for another year at least, most likely. They're going to have to wait till the anime reaches episode 100 because the movie has some spoilers for anyone below that.

You're absolutely correct. If memory serves me right, the last few eps of that story arc aren't truly important to the movie plot, so they COULD release the movie in the theaters or whatever a few episodes before 100 and people would still understand, but meh. :grin

I doubt it'll ever come out in theaters.

Thanks to CGI, traditional animation seems viewed as "antiquated" by many. Most people just don't appreciate the talent and effort because it's not as visually appealing in comparison.

In addition to that, the content in Naruto is very different from the content in Pokemon. Where many parents might find Pokemon harmless and allow their children to watch, Naruto is definitely questionable since there's quite a bit of violence.

Add to that again that animation in general is viewed as "childish" and not much of Naruto's regular audience is left to warrant putting it in the theaters.
