I think i may have found out the big question about Naruto time period. i was watching naruto the movie 3, when i saw this kid with a goddamn game boy(wtf) then i remembered naruto the movie 1 with the trains, so it made me begin to wonder about Naruto's time period. i looked back on all the episodes for clues but i couldn't find anything. so then i gave up and decided to play my Ultimate ninja game, when i won a battle i realized that i won money called Ryo, that's when i remember something a Japanese friend of my had told me Ryo was a type of money used in japan during the Pre-Meiji( an era ruled by an emperor named Meiji. anyways she said that the meji era toke some where around 1868. meaning that the Naruto series takes place some time before 1868.

Naruto is in it's own separate time period, also games aren't canon so your theory is flawed anyway.
    What's with the pics anyhow?

They have TVs and radios...I don't think so. Plus like Densetsu said, it's in an Alternate Universe.

    Thats right, Alternate Universe.

Naruto doesn't take place in the real world.

Naruto is set in an alternate universe; it follows its own timelime that has very little to do with, nor does it really follow, the real world one.

it made no sense to me either the whole game boy part, the trains, the fucking electricity wires. the invetions are totaly outta place.I'm just saying this would probably be time period. but then again we are talking about a show we're to can get from on place to another by jump from tree branch to tree branch.

Look, your question isn't THAT awful, but your grammar, spelling, and general presentation are.

This makes no sense. And i believe that there were more samurai than ninjas at that time.Plus Naruto is a cartoon(or anime, whateva). You cant think that everything you see in cartoons is based on real life...can you?

Movies dont follow the regular storyline.... The manga does show Kabuto on many computers at Orochimaru's Lair though .... But like many people said, Naruto is basically and Alternate Universe/Dimension just like the majority of all Shonen Manga does
