    1. Thread Prefixes
In an effort to make certain threads or information more accessible, staff has added a variety of thread prefixes. You can sort threads by a certain prefix by clicking the prefix title on the section page or in the list below.

    — for news/announcements, threads that get regularly updated with new info, or generally informative/helpful threads
    — for forum related guide(line), feedback and/or announcement threads
    — for the weekly Boruto episode discussion stickies
    — for the monthly Boruto chapter discussion stickies
    — for the dedicated Naruto or Boruto novel discussion threads
    — for the section's convo breads
    — for the section's forum contests and reward shop
    — for threads that are supposed to make you laugh
    — for threads about interviews relevant to the Naruto franchise
    — for threads about databooks, character files and the like

    2. Helpful or Informative Threads

    3. Konoha Database
contains directories for the novels, manga volumes, sales figures and interviews among other things. Most threads are closed as this section isn't really meant for talking/discussing. You can post or request translations in one of the unlocked threads. Want to contribute to the database? Shoot Platypus a message.

    New Leaf Guidelines

Before you continue, make sure you have read the . The guidelines listed below are supplementary to the forum-wide rules.

By posting in this section you consent to having your posts moderated. To keep things organised and compliant with the rules, staff may edit, move, merge or even delete your content.

    The section's guidelines are:
    • Be nice and fair
    • Post stuff where it belongs
    • Be contributive and don't spam
    • Beware of copyrighted material
    • Don't post spoilers until it's out

We'll delve deeper into these guidelines in the next posts.

Even though the rules of conduct have this guideline already covered, we'd like to emphasise it. Abiding by it is important to keep the section from degenerating. New Leaf has low tolerance for violations against this guideline, flaming offences in particular.

DO NOT FLAME OR FLAMEBAIT. Don't insult a member's intelligence, rile up fandoms or tell people to kill themselves. When someone offends you, don't fan the flames by retaliating. Report the content or PM the mods instead.

DON'T BE A TROLL. Trolling, as in purposefully posting bait threads or comments to provoke a response from others for your own amusement, is also not allowed.

DON'T PESTER OR HARASS PEOPLE. That includes spoiler/scan providers and translators. Be patient. They owe you nothing.

ATTACK THE ARGUMENT, NOT THE POSTER. It should be noted that 'attack' is a figurative term, not a literal one. It's not meant to be a loophole around insulting people straight in their faces. Attack the argument in an intellectual debate, not by talking shit and baiting people left and right.

REFRAIN FROM MAKING PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE COMMENTS. We don't mind banter, but if you and another member have a history of not getting along, mods will likely be quicker to act (e.g, by nipping your conversation in the bud before it devolves into flaming). If you can't be civil, agree to disagree, put each other on ignore – without gloating about it afterwards – and move on.

WHEN CRITICISING DON'T OVERDO IT. An eloquent debater doesn't have to resort to character bashing to bring their point across. While bashing a fictional character isn't against the rules, don't be obscene or bait fans. The same goes for criticising other aspects of the series.

A short guide to other Naruto Forums sections and what topics belong where:

are this section's conversation stickies, a place meant for chit-chatter between members.

. Dub anime discussion, fanfictions or fanart, what-if scenarios, "Who's your favourite…?" threads, light topics… belong here.

. Threads pertaining to pairings must be posted here. Pairing commentary will be tolerated in New Leaf and discussion threads so long as it's relevant to the episode or chapter in question. Mods will, however, be extra vigilant as pairing discussions tend to devolve into flamewars.

. Naruto versus matches, tier lists and other such nerdy topics of discussion belong here.

in originally belonged to . The thread has been retooled to a discussion thread for those who wish to talk about the anime without being subjected to manga spoilers.

/ Post in either of these subforums if you want to talk about another series. The is a good place for series comparisons.

contains sections for technical/forum related F.A.Q. suggestions, questions and complaints, updates and announcements, and to get in touch with staff.

Posts that add very little or no value to the topic may be deleted or moved to the convo sticky, especially if the thread is at risk of derailment. If you want to chat, feel free to join us in the . Repeatedly posting low-quality threads will result in a thread ban. If a thread undergoes a topic change, it might be retitled or the off-topic portion might be moved to a new thread.

    4. Beware of copyrighted material
The line between "fair use" and "copyright infringement" can be pretty blurry. We've tried our best to come up with a set of guidelines concerning posting/linking copyrighted material. If you're not sure something is allowed, just ask.

    YOU'RE ALLOWED TO POST:
    • RAW text and translations
    • Spoiler images
    • A handful of scans or panels in order to back up an argument or add to a discussion
    • GIFs, short videos or screenshots from the anime

    YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO POST:
    • Links to illegal host websites for anime and manga content
    • Large chunks of chapters (image albums), episodes (videos), etc.

    5. Don't post spoilers until it's out
As a rule of thumb, use spoiler bars if you're going to post spoilers for the latest or upcoming releases outside the dedicated threads.

FOR MANGA CHAPTERS: Keep chapter spoilers within bounds of the discussion sticky until a full English translation comes out. Use spoiler bars if you're going to post spoilers elsewhere until then.

    FOR ANIME EXCLUSIVE CONTENT:
    • Keep episode spoilers within bounds of the discussion sticky until the episode is released on Crunchyroll. Use spoiler bars when you're posting spoilers elsewhere until then.
    • Keep schedule summary spoilers within the confines of the thread. Use spoiler bars when you're about to reveal summary spoilers elsewhere before the episode itself has come out.

    HOW TO USE SPOILER BARS:

ANIME ONLY VIEWERS: People who'd like to talk about the anime but want no manga spoilers should post in the spoiler-free discussion in Akihabara TV Channel.
