I heard of some info of some accessability of obtaining a JP version of the GC version, as it will only be sold in Japan online, not retail.

Turns out the US can only be getting ONE SHIPMENT in stores, mostly for the pre-orders.

    No GC version at GameStop.

I knew Nintendo was moving all of it's GC titles to the Wii [Super Paper Mario, Kirby Adventure, Donkey Kong Bongo Blast], but I would have never guessed they were going to severly cut the final hurrah for the GC as well.

I may aswell throw it out now. I mean the Wii plays gamecube games. I wish I knew this before hand I could have sold it when it was worth something. Now I would be lucky to get £10 for it. I guess I will take it too pieces and do sommit with it =/

Well, if you pre-ordered the GC version, you will get it probably.

If not, get the Wii version. I was guessing it was expected to do that, get the version on the newer console, I know most people were planning that. But I did not expect a limitation for the older console one bit.

I don't want zelda for the GC now I know what I would be missing. The reason is I thought the game would be released a while ago I also thought it was a GC exlcusive.

Now it comes out on the Wii sametime as the Wii I have no reason to keep my Gamecube I didn't have a reason for it a while back but I kept it because I thought Zelda would be out before the Wii. Overall I am not really fussed about it machine only cost me £120 with WW, I might strip it down and rebuild it or sommit.

I know I'm keeping my GC if the Wii can't read the Action Replay. If it can, boom, no GC used ever, which helps cause mine is a wee bit borked.

i'm always keeping my Nintendo Game Consoles. 20 years from now i can show my kids what i played when i was growing up. Also, keeping old stuff can sometimes be priceless :p . My old SNES still works :-), so why not keep that chunk of memory with friends and family.

Nintendo is losing confidence in an excellent Wii launch I see. I'm really disappointed they they won't even have a true release of the game on the console it was originally intended for in the first place.

I think they cut the shipment to a point pre-orders will be retailed to them, so that everyone who put their money in advance for it get it.

although i like the idea of the wii version i cant help but feel that the controls will be akward espiecally the aiming with the bow and hookshot etc. the gamecube has a tried and tested control system and suddenly changing that at the last second could ruin the experience if not done right. they should make sure that they ship enough for both systems so that people can make a choice
